We had IMSI and all our 13 eggs fertilised and resulted in 8 blastocysts (from top to average quality). I’m currently pregnant with twins after FET (fresh cycle didn’t work). Only 10 weeks so it’s still early but I’m hopeful. Wishing you all the best xx
Omg that’s amazing ! Thank you for your reply as I have a low amh and in scans atm I only have 11 follicles so if I get to blasto I will be over the moon want to make sure we do everything to get us to that point !
Congrats on your pregnancy twins is super exciting all the luck possible to a good pregnancy ! xXx
If you look through my previous posts, I have asked about IMSI some time ago and got a few replies.
Is there a problem with the sperm that you want to try it?
11 follicles isn’t too bad, you definitely have a good chance. I was taking ubiquinol for egg quality. I know that DHEA is recommended for women with low reserve so maybe ask your consultant about it. X
Hi
Well we are using frozen sperm which we just thought if they were able to check which ones were the best then it would help our chances !
I have been taking Dhea since January ! Last time we went through ICSI the fertilisation rate wasn’t very good so I wanna try to do everything that will give us the best chance as we can only afford to go through private once !
xXx
We had 50% fertilisation rate in our 1st cycle. We then went to private clinic who suggested calcium ionophore to increase the fertilisation. In the end we decided against it which obviously was a good decision as 100% of eggs fertilised without it.
Maybe something you can explore? I believe that if sperm is of good quality then IMSI is not needed but worth asking of course. X
We did IMSI. I had 24 retrieved and 11 fertilized eggs. Only 5 passed PGT testing and now i'm 9 weeks preggers! IMSI is the best!
