I am about to start my FET cycle however there is only one injection required on day 21 of my cycle (may 1st). I don't know why I just thought I would be injecting every day. Anyone else about to start their FET? This is our one and only frozen emby but I'm feeling super positive.

Hi sparkle. I think you need to contact your clinic and ask them what type of FET you are to have. There are different types, and it is unusual just to have one injection. Good luck. Diane
It's unusual omg that stresses me out. Just looked on my diary it says medicated FET with prostap. Prostap is the injection I get on day 21.

Hi sparkles, that is correct, I had the prostap injection. That’s the only one you’ll have. In two weeks you’ll go back & they’ll check that the lining is thin enough & take bloods to make sure you’ve down regulated. If all is well you’ll then take tablets for 2 weeks to thicken the lining up again to prepare you for transfer xx
Hi everhopeful, oh that's great to hear you have the same cycle. It can be quite overwhelming! The tablets to thicken the lining that's the estrogen tablets - correct? I listened to the nurse so hard when we went to our consent signing and to pay our fee and i really did concentrate but then I've read so many other peoples stories that I've got myself all in a tizz I think 🍍🌈😊

Not at all! My FET was cancelled as they couldn’t get my lining thin enough after the prostap 😆 waiting for my period then I’ve to go back & try a different way 🤞🏼 best of luck, keep us updated xxx
Oh God everhopeful! Did they say why? Can they not give another prostap injection? Suppose it's not that simple is it. None of this ever is. Will you keep me updated? X
Ye of course I will! They put me on buserelin injections to then try down reg me but that didn’t work... after going back once a week for 6 weeks they cancelled it. They admittedly gave me the prostap at the wrong time, day 1 instead of the preferred method now of day 21 to allow you to have a bleed which thins the lining. So back to waiting again, it’s the waiting that kills more than anything for me 😆 keep me up dated with yours too 😊xxx
Oh I see, what a p****r!! It's definitely the wait that is the worse hun. So next cycle prostap day 21. Do you know how long you have to wait. Xx
I’ve to wait till day 35, if still no period I’ve to call them! So that’ll be next Tuesday 23rd. I don’t think they’re going to do prostap this time, I think they’re gonna skip down regulation & go straight to the tablets. We’ll see how that works out! Not sure if they’ll give me provera to bring on a bleed first, all depends what they say on Tuesday 😆 xxx

Sorry I only log on here now & again so have just seen your message! I went back on day 42 still
Having no period & agreed that as we were going on holiday in 3 weeks (2 now) that we would wait till I got back from holiday to start the FET again (missing out the down regulation this time) So they’ve given me provera to take whilst I’m away that should bring on my period in time for me coming back & starting, we’ll see if it works out like that haha! As soon as I walked out the clinic that day & got home guess what arrived.... you couldn’t make it up!! How are things with you? Xxx

I must admit I do not log on to this very often either. I had my scan last weds to check I had shed my lining, i had on one side but not the other, surprisingly because prostap brought the boss of AF to visit. Now I've stopped bleeding I have to go back this wednesday for another scan, i will update you xx

Scan was good, lining still at 5.7mm but nurse said with PCOS they wouldn't expect it to be mega thin. So started taking Progynova today, lining scan next Thursday xx you ok? Xx
That’s brilliant! Mines was down at 4.1mm and she still wouldn’t let me start it she said it had to be 4mm & I’ve got PCOS too😆 every clinic is different I guess! Will keep everything crossed for you, interested to see how you get on with the progynova Cos that’s the next part I’ve yet to get to! When do you go back xxx
Oh Gosh, it worried me that they let me go forward with the Progynova. I asked her 4 times if she was sure and she kept reassuring me. It's my last embryo she said they wouldn't waste it but I couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy you know.
So i am on day 3 of the oestrogen, I've had a few dull headaches but that's it. I didn't realise how common PCOS was until just recently. I've started drinking the POM juice and eating a couple brazil nuts to help with the lining for a good scan next week. Keep me up to speed and I will update you on these side effects 👍😉

I used prostap for my FET. Its much easier and convenient to use rather than injection everyday! I had a bleed shortly afterwards then started on progynova tablets to thicken my lining. Wishing you luck.xx

Are you talking about Diferelin or Decapeptil injection to restart your cycle?
I have done this jab and after my periods had started, I began taking my meds for my FET.
Not so long time ago, I did an ultrasound to check my lining and got some positive results. Hope I will be able to have my FET even earlier than it was planned.

Hi SunnyDream, oh wow that's exciting having your transfer earlier, you clearly have a great lining going on ha. I've never heard of those two meds you mentioned. They've said prostap injection day 21 and then i have a scan 2-3 weeks later I'm guessing to check I've shed the lining then i need to take estrogen 3 times a day then 9 days later a scan to see if my lining is as bouncy as yours 🤞😉

Yeah, I heard about Prostap and it is a sort of analog. We determined the 24th of April as a day of transfer.

On my first FET round I also used prostap and only had one injection on day 21. My clinic then scanned me after my bleed (about 3 weeks later) and then I started taking progynova to build up my lining. It’s a long protocol FET. Later rounds I did a short protocol FET and I used injections every day to downreg for those rounds so I guess different types of cycle have different ways of doing them. The one injection was definitely nicer than doing it every day! Good luck with your cycle! x
Right behind you i start 1st injection on the 7/5
I have to inject from.the 7/5 everyday till i have a next bleed then thats when i contact clinic again....why does yours sound so different...yes contact the clinic find out for sure

Well I've come to find out that there are different cycles with different meds. I didn't know either. I must say I am glad i do not need to inject everyday. I was on Buserelin when i did my fresh cycle a few years ago. This time just one injection of prostap which the hospital are doing until i get a bleed then scan to ensure I have shed the lining. Following that will be on Progynova.

Hey sunny dream! Sorry been MIA, soooo I had my prostap injection on Wednesday and picked up all of my meds. Well I say all but its hardly anything compared to the fresh cycle a few years ago.
So patiently waiting for a bleed now. Back in on the 15th May to check my lining has shed.

I had some spotting a few days ago but it stopped and now I'm feeling good. Hope there was nothing serious. I know that sometimes it happens so I'm trying not to worry about it much. Patiently waiting for my OTD on the 9th of May)

Hi hun, oh yes you started on the 7th may, hows it going? Any side effects? so last weds (1st) I had my prostap injection at the hospital and picked up my meds. So I have a scan booked in 15th May to check my lining is nice and thin. AF is due on Sunday. It's amazing how many dates and things we have to remember xx

...well the latest news for me is that i have now stopped taken the buserelin injection since sunday, which immediately i started with the pessaries.
..my transfer is this friday.....yayyyy. i will have accupuncture the same morning before transfer
