We had our ec today and have had 25 eggs collected! The clinic has decided that ICSI is the best approach for all of them as we have been trying for so long without success.
I don’t want to get ahead of myself as I know a lot can still go wrong so I’m trying to stay grounded.
Can anyone that has been in a similar position tell me how many I should realistically expect to make it? And what to expect over the next 5 days?

Hi MissN. Goodness me, what a collection! Make sure you drink plenty of water and have a good rest. Fingers crossed for fertilisation and transfer. Thinking of you. Diane
I had 37 collected and 21 fertilised. Of those 11 made it (7 by day 5 and a further 4 by day 6). We actually had 19 make it to blastocyst stage but only 11 were good enough quality to freeze.
Take it easy over the next few days, you probably deserve a rest right now!
That’s great! So you have 11 Frosties! Where are you at at the moment with them? X
I had 33 eggs collected and 11 blasts got to day 5 freeze so similar ratio to solly-44. The clinic will probably update you in the coming days with how they’re getting on and looking at next steps. You may be at risk of OHSS with that many eggs so take care of yourself in the coming days. X
I had 6 IVF cycles and due to my very low AMH and my age, it was hard to get a normal amount of eggs. It varied from 4 to 9, so your number is great, I think. I got pregnant after my first IVF (only 4 eggs were collected, 3 fertilized and 2 fresh embryos transferred). And my second pregnancy was achieved during my last ICSI+mitochondrial replacement cycle (7 eggs collected, 5 fertilized, 3 strong embryos and 1transferred).
Your chances are very high so go ahead and don't stop!
