5dp5dt caught severe D + V

Hey everyone, just hoping for a bit of advice. Yesterday I was 5dp5dt and a couple of days ago I visited my friend whose husband had D and V last weekend. Last night after my dinner I started feeling really unwell and had severe diarrhoea. Didn’t really think anything of it until about 1 hour later when I started throwing up (projectile) and Iv thrown up every hour from 9pm - 4 am. I’m absolutely exhausted now, my tummy and back are killing me. I’m just so worried because today I’m 6dp5dt and yesterday the embryo should’ve implanted by then and I’m worried that being so unwell has caused some harm if it has. Couldn’t even keep any water down through the night. Anybody else experienced this? Xx

Owwww nooo. You must be so worried! I haven’t gone through this but I just wanted to let you know someone is here. I don’t think this has scuppered your chances. Take it easy, replenish your fluids, eat some banana, white rice, cooked apple and give yourself some sweet loving. It is amazing how much these embryos can take. I mean, they spend their first few days of life in a lab! For now, you are pregnant, try to stay with that. Easier said than done but it is a practice, really right? Take good care. Xxx

Thanks for your reply! I plan on resting today and will try and drink plenty of fluids, although not keeping much down at the mo! Xxx
