Hi all. Yest morning went up for transfer and of 2 embryos i had, both were still there but only one had made to blast and they said looked strong at grade B. The other had showed a lot of irregularities during development and still struggling/not yet blastocyst. He showed us a timelapse video of the 2 developing side by side to show us the difference and said he did not recommend putting the poorer one in with the strong one in case it had a negative impact on it. We agreed and he said he would keep checking on the other one and call us today to let us know if it made blast and was freezable. Anyway, got the call there now and it had stopped developing so thats the end of the road for it. The clinic is insistant that this meant it was a good decision as if it didn't make it in their clinic it wouldn't have made it to implantation if they had put it in.
Problem is i'm not convinced and wondering if i should have had it put back on day 3 and froze the better one. Maybe the weak one just didnt like the lab environment!
I am lucky enough to have one on board and in the 2ww but interested to hear any of your thoughts on my story or the labs theory on whether if it doesn't make it in lab it wouldnt make it inside me? Also just my own wonderings....when people have 2 embryos put back and both take, resulting in twins...do they think those same 2 embryos could have made 2 seperate pregnancies?
Maybe i'm just thinking too much 😊
