Day 5 transfer complete! Here we go for the long wait!!!

Well here we go! We have a top quality embryo on board!!! Eek. So today was our day 5 transfer. We have two other top quality embryos in the freezer!!! Tomorrow she’s going to ring us and let us know if another two are good enough for freezing. The rest have stopped developing.

Sorry to keep saying top quality I am just so happy that i don’t have empty follicle syndrome and my the failure my attempt on my first cycle was. Official test date is 31st July! Just one day before I’m due to go to Cologne on holiday!

Husband has just been out for pineapples and McDonald’s salty chips lol. Surprisingly it was our local actual consultant that we see at our local hospital for our appointments was doing the transfer at the IVI clinic!! Him and the nurse are Irish so hopefully luck of the Irish 😂 🤞 here we go folks 🤞 X x x x

Hi Crisps!

Such an exciting day for you today, I hope your TWW flies by!

I just wanted to mention though that it’s worth looking into whether or not eating pineapple is good at this stage. I did the same as you and stocked up on pineapple (we also had McDonald’s chips on the way home from transfer!!) but when I checked again it seems it is recommended between collection and transfer but not after. The same ingredient is thought to soften the cervix (possibly why it’s good before) but that can bring on early labour or miscarriage. I don’t want to scare you but wanted to share what I found before you eat it thinking it is what’s recommended.

To be completely honest though I think most of these things are myths but I wanted to let you know.

I think it’s nice to have a bit of time off if you can, you can really take it easy and maybe treat yourself in between your studies?!

I don’t really know whether pineapple is good or bad or what works but I’ve always just gone along with if there’s some advice that may be useful with no risks then it’s worth a try! I only read a couple of articles about the negative affect of pineapple in pregnancy which made me unsure so I just steered clear. But I do know lots of people suggest it’s good for implantation and it’s worked for them, so it may just be worth looking into so you can make your own judgement.

It’s so lovely to hear you’re feeling so positive too, and so you should! I hope that little embie is snuggling right in!

I had my LH surge this morning and the clinic call me back saying that I need to call on Monday morning to book for scan to see if I had a “right surge” and how is my lining.

But I ask what about progesterone us I only had fresh cycles... I don’t have a issue with but now I’m doing natural one so will be good to check .

She said that after my last scan they will discuss with doctors to go ahead with transfer or change to medicated or move to next month... I’m so confused hun😔

If everything is ok my transfer been book for Friday coming at 11am xx

Ohh god all the best of the luck really hopes it does go ahead! Wow that sounds so confusing! I have no idea about all that it must be spinning your head, and this is a natural one as opposed to medicated cant imagine how confusing that would be. Xx

31st July 🤞🤞🤞🤞lots of clinics do 10 days , mine was 10 last time as well. Doubt I’ll make it to that without testing 😬😬 xx

Last time I only had a 5% chance and started testing from about 5 days post transfer. It’s literally torturous!! X x x

Aw, he’s a keeper if he’s cutting you up pineapple every day, I hate that job😊.

No progression whatsoever, period was due 7-10 days after Prostap injection and today is day 10 with no sign of it arriving at all...always let’s me down 🤦‍♀️😩 x

Ah once it arrives it’s just Estrogen for a week or two and then transfer, I doubt I’ll have any issues then.

I’m due to go back to Ireland next weekend to see my family so undoubtedly it’ll arrive at the most inconvenient time 😂 x
