Egg collection day

So just a little update and to see how other are getting on.. been in for my egg retrieval this morning and they were only able to collect 6 eggs... I feel quite upset about this as I thought they would get more.. is this normal? How many is a good number? 😔 xxx

Hi SMoon84, i can totally empathise. I only got 2 eggs and was pretty upset initially about it. However they both made it to transfer! Fingers crossed for strong embryos xx

It only takes one I think ladies get really caught on numbers and usually when have lots of eggs they are immature or due to OSHH I Also got 6 eggs and my little princess will be 1 week old 2moz 💗👶 good luck xxxx

Hello, I had retrieval Monday and the nurse said 7 is about average? We had a low fertilisation rate despite a high number of eggs and I’ve seen others with lower numbers have a higher fertilisation rate so who knows! I do know that the last two days have been my biggest struggle so please reach out if you need to tomorrow and make sure you have support around you. Hoping you have a fab fertilisation rate and those embies keep multiplying for you 😘 xxx
