IVF Round 2

I’ve not posted in a while but am currently going through IVF round 2. For this cycle I’ve been given menopur to improve my egg quality and the clinic increased the dose in the hope that I would produce more eggs 🤞

Had my first scan to measure the follicles and not ready for egg collection, what upset me more was that my scan looked just like my first cycle. All I kept thinking was this is just like my first cycle, same number of follicles/eggs, and first time we only had a poor quality blastocyst by day 5 transfer and I just can’t go through this all again for nothing

Has anyone else gone through second round and had success with menopur by either a BFP or more than one embryo viable for transfer?

Menopur tripled the number of eggs I got and I also got my BFP but it didn’t work out later on. It’s a faff to mix but it was a positive drug for me and I will be on it again next time. Try not to worry - each cycle is different and actually with Menopur my follicles grew rapidly between first and third scan. Masses of luck xx

All the best Sarah I was on the maximum dose of menopur for 14 days and it made me follicles grew really well so I would recommend menopur and accupuncture sessions xx
