Hi everyone, I’ve not posted on here before but have found threads really helpful. It’s such a lonely time and for the 2nd or 3rd time now we’ve both been in bed trying to find answers after something worrying has happened. We’re on stims injections and been for another scan today - day 9 of menopure and bruserilin and all going ok, ovaries hurting a bit today but tonight I’ve had a bleed after this morning everything looking good - I don’t know if I should be worried?! I must admit I panicked to start with having been through a miscarriage the sight of any non period time blood on going to the loo gives you that heart racing cold sweaty feeling and stressing now I’m stressing! Any advice gratefully received 😊
1st cycle and worried: Hi everyone, I... - Fertility Network UK
1st cycle and worried
Hey hun sorry your feeling so worried, but my last cycle when I was on stims I had some light pink bleeding. Was really weird as I never had it in my firdst cycle. That day just like you I had had my first internal scan but when I talked to my nurse she said I wouldn't worry about it as it was just pink when I wiped and we put it down to the scan I had that day irritated my cervix. But in saying that if it's more than a little bit of blood I would just make you sure you inform your clinic, but I'm sure all is ok. Best of luck for your cycle xxx
Thanks Niki,
We’ve messaged the clinic, these things always seem to happen at weekends and at night when there’s no one around to help/ask 😔 the blood was bright red so I’m not sure what’s happening. It’s scary as you have no idea what to expect and there’s no ‘normal’ anymore. I thought I’d been fairly chilled until now but I’m worried now. Good luck with the rest of your cycle too and thanks for replying xxx
Hi Midge,
I have just had my egg collection but from day 10 of my cycle I was spotting intermittently (some days brown some days pink).
The first night I panicked (even cried a bit) wrote on here and then rang the out of hours number. They told me not to stress as it can be normal however, I was booked in for a scan the following day anyway so they would check everything.
They didn't ever say what the cause of the spotting was but it lasted on and off until my egg collection (possibly my endometriosis/possibly irritation for the scan that I had every 2-3 days due to potential OHSS/possibly coming from my cervix). They was not concerned because my lining remained thick (between 11-13).
Did they tell you what your lining was? I would let your clinic know as mine asked me to keep them updated but like Niki said it sounds like it could be irritation from the scan.
Wishing you lots of luck on your journey
xx
Thanks Jade,
The blood wasn’t a lot but was enough and was bright red which was why I am so worried. At the scan the nurse said she was really impressed with my lining she said it looked ‘lovely’! We’ve messaged the clinic so will just wait and see, just woken up needing the loo but s bit scared to get up and go incase of what I find 😔 I know that’s silly. Why do these things seem to happen st night when there’s no one around to ask?! Thank you for replying and good luck with the next part of your cycle xx
