Egg collection today!

After what feels like forever egg collection day is finally here! Not slept since Monday when it was booked in, feel sick with nerves. How long after the collection do you find out how many they extracted and how many are mature enough to use?

Wishing you lots of luck for today. At my clinic they tell you after how many eggs were collected on the same day, then you hear from them two days after egg collection to find out how many have fertilised xx

All the best for today! As Emma04 says, they tell you the same day how many they’ve extracted and then my clinic phoned me 3 days after and 5 days after to let us know how they were developing. Exciting times for you! 🤗 xx

Good luck. Same here, find out on the day how many then you will possibly get an update tomorrow to say how many fertilised, then another call a day or so later to let you know how they are getting on, along with the plan of when you may transfer. That may depend on your plan and the clinic. Some don't transfer until your body has recovered from collection, others do straight away. There is no concrete and conclusive evidence that either way is more successful than the other.

Hi, that's just how it feels. Wishing you all the best of luck for the ER. The procedure will be performed under sedation. There is just minimal risk of 'side effects'. but you will want to take the day off work and arrange for someone to pick you up. You're more likely to know the numbers the same day. Stay well x
