So I had surery 10 weeks ago to isolate bilateral hydrosalpinx. About a cm was cut from the Fallopian tubes at the uterus end and cauterised. Recovery all good. I was so excited to start our FET cycle this month only to find out I have a big cyst....whooping 7cm on my right ovary. My cycle has been a few days longer the past two months and then this cycle I experience crazy flooding. What is going on? Has anyone had their cycle cancelled due to a cyst and can you remember if it affected your menses?
I am pretty sure I have a hormonal imbalance going on but what exactly I’ve no idea. Can anyone recommend a naturopath/functional me since specialist in London? Allopathic medicine just doesn’t have my back with this. Cxxx

Hey hun sorry the only expierence I have with your questions is about the cyst. I found out I had a "complicated cyst" on my left ovary after bleeding heavily after a period for a month straight! I was losing so much blood I had to go on blood thickeners! It was awful I was terrified it was serious. Anyways done a scan and said i had a cyst about 4.5cm and it was just before IVF and my doc wanted it removed before i started so i had that removed and a laparoscopy at the same time. Luckily cyst wasnt anything sinister but apparently had to be removed before IVF. I wish you all the luck and I hope you get everything sorted xxx
Hey Niki. Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve already had two laps so will do all I can to avoid another. Watch and wait seems pretty effective with simple cysts so I am pursuing that and nourishing with some herbs. Hopefully it will go on it’s own. Xxx
Hi recidwen. Oh dear, not what you ant to hear! I think you will find that the cyst will need to be drained/removed before the IVF cycle, in case it should grow more with the drugs used. Try not to worry about hormone imbalance as they can usually regulate them throughout the cycle. Good luck! Diane
