I had a diagnostic laparoscopy nearly a month ago now. I didnt get to see the consultant after but have an apt on 17th Jan. The discharge letter says I have filmy adhesions. Can anyone shed any light on this and how its affected your fertility please.
Sorry about this I have adhesions ( Ashermers Syndrome) and endometriosis as well . Have had 4 failed IVF cycles and laporoscopy procedure to no avail . Currently awaiting to see 1 of the surgeon who specialize in adhesions end of this month to see if he can remove them via hysterescopy. Sorry I don’t mean to scare you . Hope you can get more advice from ladies in here .
I had adhesions by my left fallopian Tube and it had a kink in the tube. He removed it that straightened the tube so fertility came back so to speak. (However turned out I had low egg supply as well but if it was just the adhesions I would have been fixed there and then from laparoscopy ) x
Hi Elma. Filmy adhesions are usually so thin, they can be split or rubbed away, which I'm sure would have been done during the laparoscopy. Hopefully, they won't have affected anything like your Fallopian tubes. Hope all goes well for you. Diane
