Hi, could any one recommend a reliable ovulation test? Is it worth spending money on products like Ava fertility tracker or clearblue advanced fertility monitor? Thanks again xx
We used the clearblue digital sticks. As long as you start them on the specific day they tell you I found them heaps more accurate thqn cheapies
However as soon as I started tracking ovulation it really impacted my mental health with regards to TTC and my doctor advised against it as often it seems the more you try the less you get pregnant (I have unexplained infertility). He said instead as long as you know you def ovulate then just dtd every 2-3 days per month and you have better chance.
Good luck whatever you do - have you been trying long? Do you know you def ovulate? x
Hi, thank you. Yes I agree with the tracking being unhealthy for that reason. It was actually more to find the right date to have NK cell biopsy. Not sure if you saw my earlier post. We’ve had 3 IVF cycles and been trying for 3 years. The bloods show I ovulate. I just need a better idea for this biopsy as my cycle seems all over the place since last bfn. Xx
Ah ok sorry I didn’t see your other post. Get the CB digital tests I agree with Jess below I think they are the best. Good luck xx
Thank you xx
Do you know if you can buy re fills? X
I tried the clearblue monitor but in honesty I preferred clearblue digital ovulation tests that just detect Lh surge. I found these the easiest. You can buy them cheaper on places like amazon. I tried every other day from day 8 & when I got a Lh surge I tried that day & day after. I also got a thermometer & charted ( only did this one cycle as we fell that cycle !) I used glow app which is free to download. You can track your temperature, mucus keep a track of your cycle. It showed us the good days to try 😉
All the best with it hope you get a BFP soon xoxo
I suggest the cheap dip sticks from amazon.
You can test several times a day and it doesn’t break the bank.
You can buy clear blue digital tests but it’ll cost a lot more and to be honest I prefer to see the lines progressing the nearer I get rather than seeing a smiley face/blank face xx
Thank you for your advice xx
I've had ava and I preferred clearblue digital ovulation tests. With ava it became an obsession every day not just near my fertilie days. X
Thank you for your reply. That saves me lots of money! Xx
I ended up losing mine in an airport and its the best thing that happened lol. I was constantly trying to evaluate my body. Stick to the lovely wee sticks! Xx
I agree with AJJ123 when you’ve got lots of cheap tests find it easier to test more.
After my 2nd mc I started getting positive tests and I personally love to test ovulation it’s fun and I get pains to confirm the opk
Thank you for your reply. X
I got a pack of 50 from Amazon very cheap but they were great! Use as many as you like and they were very reliable!
I bought some clear blue ovulation sticks and I would advise against buying these. Even after 15 secs of dipping the stick in (timed by stop watch) it still flashed to mean re-insert it. I did this and needless to say a result never showed. Hope you have more luck finding a good ovulation test than me! x
Thank you for your advice x
I’ve actually since discovered via a video about these tests that flashing means it’s working and you need to wait 5 mins. I still don’t like these though as instructions aren’t very clear!
I haven’t had any luck with clear blue in the past and have had some faulty pregnancy tests so think I’ll try the cheap ones from amazon and see how I go. Thanks x
I don’t blame you! Hope you find some ones that give you the right readings. x
each month. Yet when I use ovulation test I don't get high or peak fertility. I have tried them pretty...
days I have tested I've gotten high fertility without ever reaching peak fertility. Is it worth still testing...
Hi ladies. I did ovulation tests on the day 12,13 and 14 of my cycle and all of them were negative.....
