Firstly, I wish everyone lots of ‘positives’ for 2019.
I have started taking Progynova on 23/12, getting ready for my first FET on 11/01. Since taking them I’ve felt sick & so tired. However, my main discomfort is a pain in my back - it feels like I’ve got something stuck, weird I know, but it’s the best way to describe it! I’m taking my tablets with plenty of water, but nothing helps!
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hi Cuppa how is it all going? I started Progynova today and am terrified about the side effects, mainly the weight gain. How have you been coping and what dose are you on? I’m on 5x 2 mg a day for 21 days in the hope to kick start my ovaries and help my thin lining. Good luck with your round xx
Hi, I’m on 3 x 2mg a day and also my progesterone passeries, as had my FET on Friday. After my post I contacted my clinic and they adviced me to take them vaginally, along with gaviscon (recommended by GP, as it was causing acid reflux) and my back pain / feeling that something was stuck has thankfully gone. I’ve had cold legs & random leg pain but that comes and goes. Have to say I’ve not got on that well with this form of meds but hopefully these changes have now settled things down. Hope you get on okay with them. However, at my lining scan I was at 9mm after 9 days of taking them so hopefully they have and still are doing there job x
Wow that’s great news! So glad you’re doing well and side effects seem to have lessened. Are they the same tablets you’d take orally that you are now taking vaginally? I didn’t realise this could be an option. Interesting how clinics vary so much. Id love to keep updated and wish you all the best. I keep thinking I’m going to wake up and be a stone heavier 😫 x
Hi, thank you. I hate the 2ww though, I really think it’s the worse part. I’m trying not to look into every little thing that I feel as it all could be the meds playing tricks on my body, not that I’m really having any symptoms!
Yes, same tablets that I was taking orally, I was surprised too. They just advise you to sit / lay down for 20 mins so they have a better chance of dissolving.
I really do wish you the best of luck too, it’s not an easy process, but helps knowing there are other people going through it and worrying about the same things x
