Hi Freyabelle , firstly congratulations.
Yeah, I'm 9weeks and 4 days and I still feel breathless sometimes esp if making efforts and other times while sitting and doing nothing. However, I would let my doctor know.
Good luck X
I guess you should ask your doctor.
Yep...that was my first sign of pregnancy only a few days post transfer!! I knew something weird was up as I'm very fit and active and suddenly walking round the shops was hard work! It's completely normal, I like to think of it as your body reminding you to take it easy! Regular sitting down and rests help. It's something that should change in time, but might be a good idea to run it by your midwife at your booking appointment. Xx
Yes I am too but it doesn't help having a cold and not being able to breathe. I'm 6w 2 d today and I'm really nauseous intermittent and headaches. Does anyone else have any other symptoms. Congrats to you xx
Oh thank goodness ! I thought it was just me
Because I'm on aspirin and have asthma I thought it may be related to that.
However it can also be a sign of low iron and our iron demands during pregnancy increase a lot too.
Also it may be side effects of the meds? Wasn't sure but even now I'm lying down and feel really tight chested
Hey, there! I hope you're doing well. Congratulations to you, first of all. This is really exciting news. I'm so glad things worked out for you. I'd suggest you don't take this lightly. I may be a bit "overly" cautious. However, I believe any kind of issue or worry should be addressed, especially during pregnancy. I'd suggest you consult your doctor. Get a professional opinion in. Fingers crossed, it'll be nothing! But, better safe than sorry, right? Good luck to you! Here's to a really healthy pregnancy! I hope everything goes smoothly.
Hey Freyabelle,I hope ur ok. I'm 7 weeks with twins and I get that too. I thought it was because of twins but I guess it's part of being pregnant. I don't kno when it's gonna get better. I think we shud mention to our doctors abt it? Look after urself
I’m 6+4 and I’ve been having it too but didn’t for a second think it was pregnancy related! I wouldn’t say I struggle to breathe for ages though, it’s only a few moments. I just thought it was all in my head or I was more unfit than I realised! It’s actually a relief to see others experiencing it too 😅 xx
Get a full blood count, it’s a sign of anaemia x
Not trying to scare you in any way but something to consider is a blood clot which women with an MTHFR Compound Mutation (rare) which I have myself can get clots especially during pregnancy taking prenatal vitamins.
I took prenatal for 3 of my 4 pregnancies and had first two miscarriages and 3rd was a still born at 7.5 months. Couldn't figure out why exactly it was happening but extremely devastating. Finally success on 4th pregnancy however she had a hole in heart and had to have vsd repair at 6 months age. Years later had two Pulmonary Embolisms in each lung with more shortness of breath. Most people nor docs look for the MTHFR until your diagnosed with a blood clot.
After spending 12 days in hospital having blood drawn every single hour for 10 of those days (was like a purple pin cushion on both arms and crying at any more needles) the hematologist came back with MTHFR. After talking to her about many many things from my past it became apparent someone with any MTHFR or Factor V should NEVER take prenatal vitamins as the body can't break down the folic acid nor absorb and therefore to much goes to the fetus.
Just something to consider. I was EXTREMELY short of breath; doc said was just jet lag for my PE's until his PA took a wild chance and sent me for CT scan and sure enough a clot in both lungs. I'm lucky to be alive today.
Just if your pregnant or trying to concieve always have blood work tested for any clotting or mutation factors. prenatal vitamins aren't mandatory for a healthy pregnancy and I truly recommend not providing medications to a baby or fetus not necessarily needed. It is also genetic. My daughter tested positive for MTHFR.
I WILL pray for you and your baby. God Bless.
