I’ve done IVF, I’m sitting at 6weeks & 2 days today and have just come home after an internal scan to be told the sack is empty and it may be too early to tell if there is a baby but not to be too positive as it doesn’t look good. They lady said they would expect to see a little something by now.
I’m just wondering anyone’s opinions here as I have no idea what to think or feel. Feels like they have said well that’s it.
Iv had a blood test today and have to repeat in 2 days to see if HCG is dropping or rising and that will tell me.

Sorry to hear that hun x big hugs to you. I can't give any advice I'm afraid but I'm sure others on here will be able to. have everything crossed for you that it'll work out ok xx
As I looked at your profile, your transfer was on17th of May! So u cant be 6w2days! U r almost 3-4 week by now and on 4weeks , it is still too soon to c the fetus! I think it is better for u to wait a couple of weeks or more and do another scan! Everything crossed for u!
Aha I calculated from the date of transfer! Sorry for that! My fingers are crossed for u honey! I have been through this and I know how it feels! Take care of yourself! xxxx
Sorry about the uncertainty. It sucks. I'm in the same boat. Nothing on scan so HCG every few days and they are monitoring me for an ectopic. I've read every forum and asked everyone for some hope. There are a few exceptions but for most women unfortunately it didn't work out. I'm really hoping and praying that you and I will be an exception.
My HCG dropped and now shooting up again for the last three tests. I've been told that HCG has to be over 2000 before they can definitely see something. If your numbers aren't over 2000 then just wait it out but seek medical attention if you get any pain and bleeding.
I really hope it will be ok for you. Sending you a big hug! Xx
How far along are you? Iv done that reading also and it really isn’t looking good and I’m starting to get really down about it
What explanation did they give for it dropping then rising? Mine is 3420 today and iv has cramps from day 1 of transfer which iv put down to pergesterone.
God this really takes the magic out of it doesn’t it
I am 6 weeks along. The docs have no explanation....just going back every fee days. I really do hope that it all works out positively for you. Your bhcg is really good which is positive! Xx
Hey lovely, I went for my scan at 6 weeks and couldn't see a fetal pole. Went back a week later and everything was perfect. 6 week scans are too early in my opinion. If we have IVF again, i will ask to have a scan at 7 weeks instead of 6
Oh thank you, even tho I’m panicking hearing things like this give me a little hope... especially when the IVF specialists saying it’s not looking good 💔
I only had sore breasts at that point really. I did get some more symptoms but theyve eased off now. Sometimes I go days with no symptoms and sometimes I cant stop gipping and um super uncomfortable. Its normal for symptoms to fluctuate due to your body getting used to the hormones before the next increase
Hi try to stay positive 6w is early it might only take a few more days to see growth hopefully it’s just too early. Good luck x
It’s been crap, iv been told all sorts of things from I’m having an eptopic to I’ll need surgery and then to just wait.
Been to the ER and all sorts
I started to misscarry naturally a few days ago and it’s still ongoing so I guess that for the best with no intervention or risk of effecting any future pregnancies I may have. What an experience though, I cannot believe some women have been through this a number of times and for years on end. I almost crumbled at 1
Oh bless you 😔 so sorry to hear that! I know, I don’t know how people cope, it takes a lot of strength. One miscarriage (I think, although could also have been ectopic) and one ectopic down, well I say down but it hasn’t resolved yet. Praying it will resolve naturally and mean be can try again relatively soon, hoping that things will be on the up from here!
