Recovering from open myomectomy

Hi all, anyone had an open myomectomy here? I'm 10 days post op and feeling a little helpless As I don't know what to expect- pain worse at night but mostly on paracetamol since I refused any narcotic analgesics.

I'm a bit confused why I wasn't given any more info on my recovery process when I left hospital except that i will be seen in 6 weeks and contact my GP if I have any concerns. Is this right?

I had open myomectomy and cystectomy in June 2015, I was in hospital for 10 days cos of some complications. I was also on paracetamol after discharge and was ok pain wise, So that's like 2 weeks after and by week 4 and some days, I was back to work. Although I wasn't walking, someone did pick me from home and dropped me at work.

I would suggest you contact your gp, if you are in serious pain. The pain shouldn't be serious. Also has your wound been checked? Are you constipated? What kind of suture did you have? I had staples and were removed some days after I got home.
