I’ll warn you all and apologise in advance as this is a bit grim. I had a tiny bit of brown spotting when I wiped this morning, so I popped a finger in to see what was going on (again, sorry!!) and I have brown stringy discharge. Definitely not clots. But like strings of brown stuff. I’m sure the brown means old blood but I’m lost on the stringy bits. Any ideas??

Weird spotting
Could it be pessary residue?
Could be!! Mixed with old blood? Good idea. Hadn’t thought about the pessaries x
Are you using crinone gel for pessaries? Pessary residue mixed with old blood sounds likely.xx
Stringy like small thin veins? I get that. Perfectly normal although disconcertingly the only thing that comes up when I try to Google is some kind of worms affliction which it most certainly is not ha ha. Fear not, you are normal. However I appear to have swallowed an English language dictionary this morning and coming out with loads of big words and sounding Shakespeare esk.... eeek
X
Exactly like this!! They look like veins. Purple/brown in colour! Worms? Eeeek, imagine! No thanks 😂
I know, right. Come on Google and do better! Ha ha.
Anyway, it is perfectly normal especially with the pessaries. I am now 8+1 and still have the odd one or two - mostly after evening application. It's all lovely isn't it he he x
Oh brilliant, thanks so much! I feel so much better now x
I agree with the others, sounds quite like old blood and pessary residue! The joys 🙄 xx
Not convinced this is spotting. There’s quite a lot. I think it’s the start of AF.
Oh hon that's such a shame if that's what it is.
My Dr really stressed to me not to stop taking the medications no matter what, cramping, bleeding, whatever, until the test day so stick with it until your clinic tell you to stop. Take good care of yourself, I'm sending you a big hug xxx
Spotting does seem to have stopped now, so who knows what that was all about 🤷🏽♀️
It’s back! Isn’t it awful having no clue or control over what is going on with your own body?!
Yes, it so totally is! This experience has really helped me to see how much control we really have in this life...virtually zero. In a way it’s freeing, but I still struggle with the lack of control and uncertainty most days.
Hang in there. It’s not over until it’s over. It seems impossible to tell what’s pessaries vs AF vs pregnancy. Take care and I hope the time passes as quickly as possible and you have amazing news waiting for you at the end of this! 🤗 XX
