Hi there,

Yes, I started IVF 4 years ago and put on more that a stone. I think hormones can have different on people, but for me, not great for sure. I feel less confortable in my body but decided to put that on the side for the moment... and focus on treatments and positive thinking. I will focus on weight management later on!

Hope this helps

Xx

Hi, probably put on about half a stone during a cycle but returned to usual weight within a few months time. The joys!

I think the drugs make you out on weight as you get very fluidy so whilst you're on meds you do gain weight. That said after been doing this for 2 years I'm probably a full stone heavier. Reckon it's a mixture of comfort eating and treats after failed cycles!🙈 Try not to worry about your weight at the moment but don't go off the rails!xx

I’ve been the same, during my fet I could feel my trousers getting tighter. Unfortunately I had a MC 3 weeks ago and I have just plucked up the courage to weigh myself yesterday... I’ve put on a stone xx

As long as you are on range of required BMI for the treatment then do not worry. That's what doctor has said to me. It must be written in your instructions pack. Do not loose the grip but be cautious about weight.

I started ivf just over two years ago and I’ve gone from a size 10/12 to a 14/16 🤭 xx

I put on nearly a stone this year, a lot of it was down to water retention and bloat. Finally down to my original weight and feeling good about myself - just in time to start the next round and probably bloat out again! xx

Yes! I put on a stone and a half from August 2017 but since this September I've managed to lose a stone, trying to lose a further 4 - 6lb before my cycle starts at the end of the month, I'm feeling a lot healthier and am feeling mentally stronger. I wouldn't be able to lose during a cycle, I bloat, retain fluid and just want to eat all the time! xx

Yep🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve gone from a size 8 to a size 10, and sometimes my tummy looks like I’m bloody pregnant! And I’m definitely not! Although I think the wine in between failed cycles doesn’t help! I’ve been off meds for 3 months now and definitely look less bloated, and feel a bit more normal, but I think the drugs are just evil like that xxx

Yes! I put on weight and all seemed to be round my tummy so really felt like I had to hide it in case people thought I was pregnant 😔 I was on buserelin and progynova. Stopped meds last week and starting to feel like I’m going back to normal. Try not to worry about it too much. Hormones do funny things to our bodies. Wishing you lots of luck for your treatment xx
