Just having one of those, I didn't think having a family would be like this moments. Sometimes it just feels really quite sad and such a loss.

Sorry to read you are feeling this way. I don't know your story so far but it is so hard going through fertility issues.it's the saddest thing because it's supposed to be the meaning of life (to a point). Just know that you're not alone.

If you haven't already maybe talk to your GP about counselling. It helps to talk.

Thanks everyone, woke up feeling better. For me we decided to have IVF&PGD due to a genetic condition so sometimes I do grieve for what would have been the 'normal way'. Thank yoj for your kind words. X

I’ve had a successful (in that I am now 36 wks pregnant) round of ivf with pgd, feel free to message me if you need support. I try to see it as a massive bonus that we have access to pgd in this generation so even though we don’t get to just have sex and fall pregnant, we do have the amazing privilege of helping to eradicate genetic/chromosome abnormalities. It’s just hard because most people don’t do it that way.
