Hi ladies. I had posted on Friday as it was my OTD but eventually only brought myself to peeing on a stick this morning!! While I had no AF and no stick I could still have hope!
Anyway now I’ve done it and for the first time in my life ever I can see 2 lines. I’ve just turned 43 so this has been a very very long time coming. It’s really faint-is that normal 2 days after OTD?
Now I’m petrified as this is only one more hurdle in this journey.
I was on 400mg pessaries twice a day which the clinic say I only use until test day! Is that normal!? I’m scared! 😧
At what stage do you get a first scan? My clinic don’t do any blood tests-they basically just let you pee on a stick and leave you to it!!
Any other advice for this stage?
Thanks -I’m panicking-sorry!!

Congratulations lovely. If mine had stuck I’d have been using the pessaries until week 12. Don’t panic though. There might be a reason they are stopping you early. Phone the clinic and get them to explain to you or if you have different options.
BFP though is awesome news!!
Congratulations. What an amazing outcome. Don't worry about the strength of the line - a positive is a positive! Woo hoo.
I would call the clinic asap to let them know and to get feedback on your next steps. Sometimes drugs stop at test day but they can also continue as far as 12 weeks. Your clinic are the only ones who will be able to advise what you should do on that side.
I am so happy for you. Seeing that positive test for the first time is amazing xx
They only gave me enough to do until yesterday so I have none for today but they did tell me when they gave me them that I stop on OTD as my body should take over by then but I’m just so worried because I’ve never got here before and because everyone else seems to take them to 12weeks!
You will have a number somewhere for the clinic which will be out of hours. Give them a call. Drugs can be sorted really easily - you can even get them from Asda. Don't worry, just call them and they will be able to tell you straight away if you are ok or if you need more xx
Congrats, you should get a scan in about two weeks with your clinic. This for most of us is worse than the tww - don’t worry about the darkness of your lines. This just means hcg is present in large enough quantities to give you a positive result. Your true hcg level rests in your blood. It’s normal to get faint lines until week 5 some don’t even get a positive until week 6! Xx
Hi Sharon175. Lovely news. Yes, you should hopefully be producing enough progesterone. However, just check with the clinic as often they want you to keep on a low dose to boost your own for a couple of months. Hope all continues to go well for you. Diane
Congratulations. Some clinics stop progesterone on otd but most will prescribe more, at least until you’re signed off at the clinic, some will give it to you up until 12 weeks. Give them a call tomorrow xx
Two lines is two lines. Call the clinic and see what they advise re the pessaries- my clinic say you need extra progesterone until the placenta takes over at around eight weeks but they keep you on them until 12 as a precaution.
In terms of getting those two lines two days late, it depends upon when your otd was. My friend didn’t get a strong line until 14dp5dt and baby was born healthy.
This is great news Sharon, congratulations! Did you do anything differently this time? Gives me hope as Im now 41 and never seen two red lines before either! Hope you get your scan sorted out soon! Very exciting!xx
Hi Cinderella -we both took Zita West vitamins (took these last cycle too but I guess they were in our systems for longer). I also took dhea but probably intermittently to be fair. I had a scratch this cycle which I didn’t have before and we insisted we go to a day 5 transfer-all others had been day 3 so we said even if it means by day 5 we have nothing then we know they wouldn’t have made it anyway.
Lastly I’ve been doing clexane injections every day since transfer. I also went for a reiki session just before transfer-I had wanted to go for a massage but didn’t want anything with pressure or smells! But actually found the reiki very relaxing and she spoke a lot about positivity and visualising myself pregnant. I’m cautiously optimistic as I know it’s only another hurdle but one that I thought I might never get to!!
Hopefully you’ll get started again soon. Good luck.xxx
I would say let’s try and be positive, one day at a time.
For medication, I have to take some until 3 months pregnant (from they told me, never been there yet...). So probably call the nurses to check and get a new prescription!
Don’t worry about blood test, not necessary yet, just relax and you should have your scan in the 2 coming weeks or so!
Try and visualise the baby to come for positive thoughts! It may help!
Wishing you all the best and sending you lots of positive energy!
