Anyone use Proluton?
I have used it and got my husband to do it as I couldn’t do it myself. Not sure your gp surgery Will l do it x good luck
I didn’t use proluton- I had prontogest which is a daily Intramuscular progesterone but proluton is a bit longer lasting. I couldn’t do mine myself so got my husband to do them.
You can try with your local GP but depends on their capacity and nurse seniority/experience. As a GP myself, our nurse appointments were in high demand and your injections would not be technically under the GP remit as it has not been prescribed by a GP which also makes it a bit difficult for the nurse to administer due to medico-legal reasons.
I would speak to them before the first injection is due to see if they can help- they may need a letter from your clinic. Good luck. X
Hello, I’m using Prontagest daily and have no choice but to do them myself as my partner isn’t here every night - it’s not easy exactly but it’s ok. You just have to twist and do it in the mirror! The nurses at the clinic seemed surprised I was doing them myself...but needs must (and apparently it’s not completely unheard of). Good luck!
Thanks lovelies. My partner has a needle phobia so cant ask him to do them in case he faints (whimp) lol. Unless i ask him to close his eyes but that can be rather dangerous i suppose! I might have to do them myself xx
I went to a private clinic to have my done (different drug though) but it was monthly rather than weekly. They charged £25 I think. Hope you get things sorted easily x
