As anyone with the pessaries moved from putting them up the front to the back i think when i put them up the front that when I stain. Dose it work the same way if i start using the back way xx

My clinic have given me my medication for FET and told me to put them in the back so must do the same job?

Yeah I moved from the front to the back. For the first 2-3 weeks I felt my tummy was upset but I kept going and its fine now. May not have have been connected xx

I asked which way would be best and the nurse said both as effective but recommend the back because less messy so I went with that!
I would just add that it DOES depend on the type! Cyclogest can be used front or back. I was told if front I have to lie down for 15 mins after to reduce the mess. No need with back. Utrogestan is vaginally only!
I've changed to cyclogest starting from last night!! Will see how this goes!
Yes im on cyclogest 400mg. Its far easy back way no mess with it. Xx
Think it depends which one your prescribed. First and second time I used utrogestan which is only for front and 3rd time cyclogest which is for front or back xx

My doctor said go for the front as it absorbs in the right place better. It’s more messy but anything to make it a bit better for the transfer?
Thank you i have been using the front bit i seem. To stain everytime i do so last night and the smorming i used the back way think ill go back to. The front to just be save im 6 half weeks pregnant xx
Hi Chelsea289 I moved to back from front for the last week I am 6 weeks and 2 days because you may recall I’ve got subchorinic bleeding so my clinic advised if patients have any ongoing bleeding /spotting it is best to do back to ensure it’s getting absorbed, obv if you have stopped spotting you can do either front or back. X

Hello i endend up in a&e thr smorming i had some heavy red bleeding they dont no what causing it they done a belly scan said everything still ok with baby but there booking me into early pregnancy clinic this week to keep an eye on me. Haven't been so scared in all my life. But the bleeding has stop now its back to just brown staining 😴. Yes im sick every morning and feel nausea all day and my boobs are so swollen & sore. Yes i think my due date will be the 14th November 😊 im just praying these next couple weeks go ok 🤞 xxx
I really feel for you hun, It’s so scary when you don’t know isn’t it but on the plus your little warrior is absolutely fine 🥰 . You may have a small haematoma did they do a transvagibal scan as that offers clearest picture? I have been in EPU 3 times this week!. Last night I was awake a lot and when got out of bed to pee I passed clots the Size of golf balls! I had 3 towels all over the bed the bathroom floor was splattered with blood😳 I just cried and dropped to floor thinking it was the sac!. I am bleeding like a heavy period every day 7 days straight!. I went for a private scan today and when Sonographer said baby measuring 7mm at 6 weeks 3 days with a great heartbeat I just cried with happiness. Couldn’t believe all I have passed the last week and baby still fine just goes to show how common ivf bleeding is. They told me there is a haematoma above sac but won’t harm baby as above and closs to cervix so will just bleed out. Once it turns brown this means starting to resolve. Can take 2-5 weeks was told.
Omg im sure that was so frightening for you i could only imagine how you where felling im so happy your little fighter is still going strong. Ano my first fresh cycle i didnt have any bleeding at all. This time round is a frozen natural cycle and my head has been gone. Yes i got one off them on Thursday and they couldn't see nothing that could be causing it. And today they done a belly scan but said its still early there was still a little flicker there. But they said early pregnancy will phone me tomorrow and give me & appointment for another tranvagial scan this week so im hopeing i get to the bottom off it. I really hope your feeling much better today lots off love ❤️
Thank you and I hope your scan goes well too it sounds really positive that the bleeding has settled to brown staining now hopefully whatever has been the cause it has healed up now. ....Ditto natural FET here too. I did some Googling this week and apparently bleeding is more common with frozen-thawed transfers for some reason over fresh. 🤷♀️ All the best with going forward over the coming weeks and your next scan. Hey yhe early-pregnancy clinci phoned me they wont scan me again they said i just have to wait a d see what happens 😢 cause when they scaned me last week they said its in the right place and has a heartbeat. I ask where the blood coming from and they said they dont no its awfull they just dont care now i have to wait till the 23rd apirl till my dating scan it feels a life time away. The red blood has stoped its just wee drops off brown but was just the smorming when i done my pessaries. How you felling today xx
oh Chelsea i do feel for you hun, was it the scan last week didn't show the haematoma then with you saying that your clinic don't know where the bleeding is coming from. I think as you have a correctly positioned pregnancy with a heartbeat that is a very positive sign, and it is very possible it is a haematoma like myself, but its not really very good that they are simply saying they don't know where the bleed is coming from? So how many weeks are you on the 23rd April? Could you not call your local EPU and explain your bleeding situation ( don't mention anything about already seeing the heartbeat, and say you are really concerned and would like to be seen) Its good news that the bleeding appears to have slowed to a brown, which would indicate whatever is going on is getting better so that is a good thing.
I am doing ok, i am still having some bleeding episodes, but the passing of clots is becoming less and less. I had my sign-off scan at the clinic this afternoon and baby is measuring on time and they are happy with all they saw today. I have since switched the pessaries to front again as nurse says doesn't make any difference ( provided not actively bleeding when your putting them in) as absorbed in 20 min-30 min anyway.
I am still nervous but counting the weeks till i hit second trimester. Still feel nauseas all the time and i now have the glamorous symptom of constipation - oh the joys!
Could your clinic not bring your scan forward a week even? They did this with mine as i was mean't to go in on the 6th april, but they said providing touching 7 weeks they can scan. You are past 7 weeks now right?
Hopefully this all resolves in a few weeks and this spotting/bleeding will be a distant memory! Which part of the country are you, be funny if we were on the same labour ward when it comes round to it lol!

Hi Chelsea, how have you been? i followed your lead and booked a scan on Tuesday to check on baby since the bleeding stopped ( i had a smidgen today when i got up not much) and baby measuring 2 days ahead hr 180bpm. I find my symptoms can be in such contrast on 2 consecutive days, like yesterday i was really sick and nauseated and today just a small episode of nausea and not as tired ( but have spent quite a lot of time in the fresh air with my toddler xx)
Aw thats brilliant new ❤️ im so ill this time round cant keep anything down and just constantly tried im hopeing it will pass soon for me. My little one bpm was 162. Im still so scared thinking something will go wrong counting down my days till my booking scan xx
That’s exactly the HR my son’s was at the beginning 162bpm 💙 I feel for you my mum gave me a good tip although I don’t need it all the time- a cracker I take to bed so when I wake up can nibble on that before coming downstairs also a glass of milk is a good tummy settler. Hopefully your nausea will settle by 2nd trimester! I know it still seems ages until 12 week scan. Oh well got to try abs stay occupied til then xxx
I have a wee boy an a wee girl and i feel the same way when i carry him only i feel abit wrose he is 10 now. And wee girl 4. My mum told me to do that aswell ill have to give it ago. When is yoir booking scan mine is the 23rd apirl bit ill only me 10weeks 6 days. Xx
Aw didn’t know you had 2 I thought I’d only read you had a little girl. That’s nice one of each. Are you leaning towards wanting another boy or girl or you really don’t mind? I always thought with carrying girls you get more nausea but I had it bad with my son being actually sick a lot but lots of my friends who have both say they were worse with a boy so who knows 🤷♀️ I’m guessing every one is different. My booking in scan I don’t know yet but I’ll be 12 weeks exactly on 6th May so I’m only 5 days gestation behind you thereabouts. Due 18th November. The midwife calls me the 15th April to book my scan. Are you in Scotland or Ireland? ...just guessing by the language ‘ I have a wee ’ ... 💖xx
Yes my son was conceived naturally & my wee girl was down my icis. I dont really mind wee girls are hard work lol my wee girl a wee diva 🤣 yeah think my due date is 14th November. My partner birthday is the 13th nov n my wee girl is the 11 Nov be a busy month lol... Yes im from Northern Ireland. I had all my treatment done in Newcastle England cause its my partner who had the problem so we had to do icis first time ❤️
That will be sweet 3 birthdays close to one another! My son is August which I liked a summer baby to still enjoy some warm days, however all being well with this little one a winter baby will be nice too just before the Christmas holidays and same for you too all over again with another November baby xx

Aww no :-(( I read on the American site for gynaecologists they often prescribe vitamin b6 it says they can prescribe a dose that can help the nausea. Could you ask your GP about prescribing you B6 see if they are ok. There’s links on medical sites on google but of course always confirm with your clinic or GP first before taking anything. What did the dr prescribe you now? Could they be making you worse? xx
After me providing some little MS advice, i this morning have now thrown up twice good lord! ... I think its catching xx p.s I had an awful nights sleep though and was really constipated, even had a bit of brown blood again. Oh the worry never ends!
Its awfull isn't it mine is so bad i couldn't even move out off bed yesterday hopefully it will pass i had a awfull night 2 with cramps in my right leg. It really doesn't im still staining brown aswell 😢 just can't wait till my scan x
Aw feel your distress. Speak with your Dr tomorrow if you can take some b6. As long as you stick within the guidelines up to 20-25mg per day i think it will be fine xx

I had a bit of brown spotting through last night and today when i wipe, but had a bad episode of constipation! The leg pain in your groin or further down the leg? I've ordered prune juice lol! God help me xx

aw bless really going through the mill aren't you. If its left side it could be your a bit constipated, as i get left side pain and i am getting more that way as the weeks go on. I have a cold now too, not feeling great at all. Baby asleep so just stretched out on the couch not done any work today
Have you had the jab for Covid before you got pregnant? I haven't as wasn't eligible think i'll be shielding for the remaining 7 months just to be on safe side x

I read the hcg levels off around 9-10 weeks and for some symptoms can lessen and then come back or stop then return again! My symptoms apart from tender boobs subsided 3 days ago I am 8 weeks + 5 days. Are you still brown spotting I am a little x

No I wouldn’t be worried. Like myself we have seen a heartbeat and baby’s growth has been good. Just had another look online and it says the placenta is starting to take over at 9 weeks +. I vividly remember with my son my morning sickness disappeared at exactly 9 weeks so I am not overly concerned but still hard not to worry. When is your next scan booked. Have you had no queeziness either it’s still early only 9.30 time yet! 🙂xx
I looked it up aswell my head is gone this time round. My next scan is the 23rd April that my booking scan. Even no the sickness is awfull. But now i wish i was being sick the worry never ends lol xx

Aw really, is that more usual in Ireland? It was Ireland wasn't it or are you in Northern Ireland? Over here it can be anywhere from 12 weeks up to 13 + 5! I am preying for the earlier of the two which i'll be on 6th May! As i am sure its the same, they complete the nuchal tests etc xx
My other babies where 12/13 weeks im not sure why they have booked me early but hopefully ill get another scan after this one. Xx

To be honest I’m so disappointed that most clinics don’t tell you to put them up the back passage....
It’s so much easier with little disruption to your day. The agitation to your vagina is minimal, and you don’t have to worry about bleeding through agitation.
I eventually stopped taking pessaries with every IVF cycle, as my body produces great amazing amounts of progesterone, and was going through unnecessary trauma of doing it. But IVF loves the one size fits all approach.
I wish you the best of luck and remember it’s your body. Trust your intuition and always never be afraid of asking questions.

For Cyclogest I went back in the morning so I could get on with my day and front in the evening as I would go and lie down afterwards. I had a successful cycle so do whatever works for you. The pessaries are gross and for me had lots of side effects but quickly forgotten when you get a BFP.
