Update! Linings not quite thick enough yet for FET 😐

I am waiting to have my first ever transfer. I have been taken medication (starts with a “p” but can’t remember what it’s called 🙈) to thicken my lining ready for transfer. I have been told today that it’s borderline but not quite there yet..I have to go back on Tuesday so they can re scan me. Anyone else have this? 😐

I am praying on Tuesday I get the go ahead for my transfer maybe end of next week 🙏❤️

I have had to wait after EC I got OHSS so my fresh transfer never went ahead hence this is my first one as a frozen 🥚 🤞

Hi Kirsty I haven't had this myself but I know a few ladies on here have had to stay on the meds a little longer to get the lining thick enough. Have they upped your meds at all? Xx

Hey,

Is it progynova? This happened to me, I was asked to continue it for a further week which helped.

I know it’s scary but try not to worry, sometimes you just need a little longer on the medication and they can also increase the dose if need be 😊

I've not had this myself (I've had 1 FET) but don't worry, they can keep you going on meds until you're ready. Xxx

Try not to worry, this happened for all of my FET's so far, I had my progynova upped (as mine was rubbish) and rescanned a few days later so was just on meds for longer as the others have said.xx

It's probably Progynova I'm currently taking that now the first week I had two tablets a day then for the past few weeks they increased it to 3 day. I had a scan on Monday and the lining measured at 9mm I asked the nurse what it had to be and she said anything over 7mm my FET is on Monday so I'm hoping it would have got more thicker. Did they tell you what your lining measured?? X

Hi, yes I had this and have been taking 8mg of progynova since August. I had about 4/5 scans in total to check the lining and they did a transfer at 5.5cm (I think it was that anyway). I am just over 7 weeks and have my second scan on Monday day hopefully they see a baby this time. Good luck for your transfer. xx

Thank you all. Yes it is progynova. I’m on 8mg per day. The hospital rang me to say to continue with the same dose and go in Tuesday for another scan. My lining was borderline just at 7mm so fingers crossed on Tuesday it’s got thicker 🤞 I want my 🥚!!! 😂 xx

Fingers crossed for Tuesday. Also, if it makes you feel any better, the success rates are showing higher results if you wait for your body to recover from the collection before doing transfer. Xxx

This has happened to me too! It’s so frustrating! I am on the highest dose and have been on progynova for 3 weeks. Have a scan tomorrow so hopefully I’ve made it this time! Fingers crossed for you! Xxx

Hey Kirsty. My lining is 6.5 so nearly there but not quite! I’ve now started patches today aswell as apart from thickness it’s looking really good. Another scan next week so hope it’s good news then! Yea this is my 2nd transfer. Xx

Good luck! I think this happened with me on my fresh cycle and as the others have said you’ll be amazed what a couple of days can do. Am sure it’ll be good news at your next appointment! I’m having a FET this coming Tuesday - we’ve only got the 1 embryo though so a bit 50/50 as to whether it’ll make the thaw. All the best for your FET, keep us posted 🤗 xx
