Terrified and excited at same time. Is it odd to sort of miss the injections after dreading them for so long?! It did make me feel like I was actively doing something to control this situation. Eating Brazil nuts and pineapple doesn’t give me quite the same sense of achievement!
Anyway, It’s a numbers game now I suppose and I just hope we get to transfer day after tomorrow. Obviously off work tomorrow but curious to see what other people did in the days after collection and before transfer. My job is an active one running a restaurant and hotel which although great fun is not without its stresses and I’m not sure if working in between is a sensible option or not?

Hey hun I just had my 2nd eggs collection 4 days ago. I'm only just starting to feel better now, the first 2 days I could barely walk around it's pretty painful the first few days after. I'm still bloated like a balloon! Everyone is different tho but I definately think you will need at the very least 2 days off work maybe more. All the very best and hope you get lotsa eggs!! 😁😘🐣🐣 xxx
Thanks for the speedy reply. I’m lucky that I can be super flexible and have a great team there. I think I might let them know not to expect me back before the weekend at least. I had hoped the bloating might go down a bit?!!! The irony that you end up looking a bit pregnant during this bit is horrid. My jeans have never been so tight. Good luck with your transfer Xxxxx
Oh that's great hun yes definately take some time to relax you will need it. Umm nope unfortunately the bloating gets worse after egg collection 😬 I know right like thanks for making me look pregnant! I even have permanent stretch marks over where my ovaries are from my last round of ivf!!! So not fair. But yes best of luck and keep us updated on how everything is going 😁 and thank you 😘xxx
I stayed off from EC to the finish of the tww. My job is an active one too. I had 19 eggs this time around (16 first time) and was borderline ohss both times so it took me the 5 days to start feeling more human. See how you feel. If you do struggle then you’ll have to call in sick. Good luck xx
