Does anyone here have experience of using melatonin during stimulation, as recommended in the book It all Starts with the Egg (Rebecca Fett, 2014) ?
I found the above mentioned book to be an amazing source of information and used some of the advice in my previous rounds, but not the melatonin. I'm now prepping for my 4th IVF cycle, due to start in about 10 days. I've been taking ubiquinol, dhea, NAC, a prenatal multivitamin, and extra vit C. The book suggests you can stop supplements when you start stimulation drugs, and take 3mg melatonin in the evenings. She says it acts as a powerful antioxidant and can help improve egg quality at that point.
I will ask my fertility doctor about it, but wondered if anyone here has tried it and found it made a difference to any rounds. So far everything I've asked my doctor about he is pretty ambivalent about - he doesn't really think any supplements make much difference, but is happy for me to take them if it makes me feel better.
