Polysystic ovary syndrome - ivf funding

Hello, I live in a postcode that does not provide any ivf funding however the following exception applies to the ccg policy.

Patients who have a disease or condition requiring a medical or surgical

treatment that has a significant likelihood of making them infertile.

I suffer from polysystic ovary syndrome. Would anyone know if this qualifies as an exception?

It's worth trying but the wording refers to treatment causing infertility such as for cancer etc so they might refuse you hope not as it's all so unfair good luck x

Hi Kosun. It may refer to a permanent cause of infertility, but I would definitely apply. We have template letters on our website fertilitynetworkuk.org Go to the NHS funding pages and you will find it there. Do give it a go, and I wish you huge success. Diane
