Is there anyone who’s had a successful BFP on round 1? I’m Day 8 of stims, feeling a little low and think I need some positive stories. X
Round 1 success: Is there anyone who’s... - Fertility Network UK
Round 1 success
I've not started stims yet but I'd love to hear some success stories too
A friend of mine - who I've recently become friends with and has been a godsend to me during all this. She got preggo first pop! She only had 5 eggs collected, I think 3 fertilised..by day 3 she got a call saying look the other 2 embryos are not looking good we've got 1 that would be your best shot at a baby so we want to transfer TODAY! Well boom she has a lovely perfect 4 year old boy now 😊 it does happen but wouldnt it be great if it could happen for us all first time 😁 best of luck for the rest of your cycle hope your feeling ok xxx
I got my BFP on my first round. I had 4 viable embryos and the first fresh transfer was successful. My little man is now 2. I’ve also used my 3 Frosties and am pregnant with no. 2 from the last of those 3 Frosties (in theory the worst quality). It can happen on round one but if it doesn’t then don’t give up hope - if you get more than one embryo then I’m proof that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t and there doesn’t always appear to be a reason for why it does or doesn’t work. One of your other ones may work for you instead. Good luck!
Hi claireyana. Lots of ladies are successful first time round. If only we had some magic Blue Tak to keep these little ones secure - one days perhaps. Hope all continues to go well for you. Diane
Yes I did xx
I did! And just turned 35 at the time.
My frosty that has stuck (so far!) is from my first round when we had 3 frozen. I had another fresh round in between but only got 2 blasts and had them both transferred and they didn’t stick.
I was extremely lucky & got my BFP after our first cycle. I didn't expect it to be successful as I'm 41... I count my blessings every single day. Wishing you lots of luck 🍀 xx
I got a BFP on my first round with a fresh embryo, 5 day transfer. My friend had a 2 day transfer because her embryos were not great quality so they put 2 back and 1 stuck. She now has a 7 week old little girl and none in the freezer, so she was very lucky. It can happen. I was so convinced that wouldn't be case in our situation but my little embryo had other ideas! Good luck - keep positive. Xxx
I was 38 with only one ovary. Had 5 eggs collected, 3 were mature. All three fertilised and made it to blast. The highest quality one was put back in and she's asleep in the cot next to me. One frostie and unfortunately the third wasn't big enough to freeze.
It only takes one and alot of us beat the odds.
Good luck in your cycle x
Yep, first fresh ICSI round, 5 day transfer, now 31weeks with a wiggler inside 😀 3 Frosties in the freezer (although will need to decide if to keep them or not as we can’t afford 2 kids 😢, the extra dilemmas of knowing you have embryos that could make a baby) Still I thank my lucky stars for the one inside! Wishing you all the best x
Yes I was successful with our first round. I have pcos which is the only issue we had. Embie stuck and were currently 10 weeks. wish you good luck and baby dust for your test day x
Hey. I was successful with my first round. I am currently. 6wk+4 x
I had a positive test on Tuesday first time round. Obviously early days for me...
I am currently 10 weeks plus 4 from 1st go. Never been pregnant before either x
My first round was successful too, I am 35, only had 1 egg collected, 2 day transfer, I am now 14 weeks pregnant and still can’t believe it and feel so lucky. Bizarrely my best friend also fell pregnant after her first round of ivf 6 months before me. It certainly can happen. Best of luck with it xx
I got pregnant on my first attempt of IVF and my little boy is 5 weeks old tomorrow xxx
I did- I have a unicornuate uterus and only one Fallopian tube. Our first fresh cycle, we had 4 top quality embryos- 1 transferred and have 3 in the freezer and currently nearly nineteen weeks pregnant! It can happen, try and stay positive lovely xx
Oh wow what a great thread. I needed this today! Congratulations to everyone, this is very inspiring! 🙌🏻
Ladies you are all fantastic! Thank you so much for you stories. It’s so nice to hear about all these BFPs. I feel so positive after this for my egg collection on Monday. Xxx
I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant after failed ivf and it happened naturally just before I started my FET. I’m 41 and have been trying for years. Wishing you lots of luck.xx
I know so many people who fell naturally pretty much straight after a failed ivf... I wish they’d do some research into this as I am sure there must be an effect.
I honestly thought it was just one of these things people said as I don’t know of anyone, but plenty people do. It’s bizarre. I’ve been having reflexology since my failed ivf to de stress me so maybe that’s helped too. You’re right though, research needs to be done in this area. I literally still can’t believe it until I see it with my own eyes next week. Hope you’re well?xx
