Success stories of second round ICSI

Hello guys, me and my partner are on our second round I'm currently in the progress of the dugs and have my transfer on the 10th of June so scared tbh due to being so heart broken my first round literally stayed in bed and cried all day!

They only transferred one the first round so wondering what are the chances of them transferring two this round?

And wanted to hear people's success stories just to cheer me up a little,

Sorry to hear your first round was not a success, this could be your time! Stay positive!

Unfortunately no success stories from me yet but I’m hopeful one day to have one.

We are hoping to start our 2nd frozen transfer cycle in the next few weeks after a horrible mmc and a BFN. These will be our last frozen embryos from this cycle both graded C and I plan to transfer both together before moving on to a new fresh round if unsuccessful.

As for transferring 2 I think it depends on your age, prognosis and the grading of your embryos. Also if you are funded I think some areas only allow single transfers.

Also have you considered counselling to talk through your feelings? I’ve just booked my first session in a few weeks time.

Hello thank you for getting back to me I most definitely will be looking into counselling for both me and my partner as it hit him hard too!

I'm hoping they do transfer two embryos this time as this time will be my last I have 3 frozen and two are frozen together and one single.

Hi lovely, sorry to hear about your failed cycle, it really hits you hard doesn't it?! I had an early MC after my fresh transfer of 1 top grade blastocyst. I'm currently in my 2WW for my first frozen cycle where they transferred 2 blastocysts, 1 top quality and one good. I am quite young as well (30) and was surprised that they wanted to transfer 2, but I'm more than happy to listen to their recommendations. They had frozen these 2 embryos together and then if this doesn't work I have 2 more frozen as singles that they would still transfer together. Good luck!

Hey, your story sounds very similar to mine I have two embryos frozen together and one single on its own, and like you I'm 26 so I'm hoping they do transfer the two as me and my partner both agreed that this will be our last shot, when is your test day? Xxx

It all depends on your clinic I think and whether they see a double transfer as your best chance for success. I just go with their recommendations and if we end up with twins then that's great 👍🏼 OTD is Monday 27th but I'm testing on Saturday x

Hi, Kh26. My first ET was negative. The second attempt was with the only one frozen embryo and it worked out. So don't be afraid and go ahead. Hope it will stick and you'll have your precious LO soon! Best wishes and warmest vibes

Sorry to hear about your failed first cycle, it’s so difficult 😢 We had a failed first cycle too and then I had to have a FET for our second round as I overstimulated. We had two blastocysts and decided to put both back in and on Friday I’ll be 16 weeks pregnant with twins!

Awww thank you guys sunny I'm at Shrewsbury in telford do you know it and yeah I am happy there to be honest they're so supportive it's the luck of the draw isn't it no ones fault it failed just how life is sometimes!! My embryos going to plan are transferred on the 10th coming so excited but scared at the same time and Wemma that sounds amazing!!! So glad to hear that hopefully I follow suit 😘 Hope you have a safe and happy pregnancy! Xxxx
