I asked my consultant about it and he said that it is only worth taking if you have low egg reserve. X

Yeah thats me alright! I might have to take the tablet form as the company that do the gel form have stopped manufacturing it. So its hard to get it now. Just wondering how long in advance you have to take the tablet form X

I think it takes 3 months for the egg to mature but I would start taking it now anyway. You might want to check with your consultant x

Been calling them since 22nd August and they have lost my notes! x

I’m sorry to hear it. You would need some advice from them on the recommended dose of DHEA. This would depend on your egg reserve so it would be good if they get back to you x

Apparently it’s better three months plus before but I think it’s worth a try I used it this time and I felt it improved my egg reserve and quality. I think I took about 8 weeks before. Good luck to you xxx

I only had 6 weeks to start taking dhea before my last cycle but my consultant told me to start it asap no matter what and in the hope it helps xx

Thankyou ladies did you order it from Biovea? X

Yes I did. It took around 2 weeks to receive it ( it’s from the states warehouse) xoxo

Im just going to buy some tonight as the hospital have lost my notes x

I’ve just started taking it as I’m 38 and had 2 mc in a row thinking egg quality is poor. I’ve been on it 11 days I would usually ovulate day 12 tomorrow but I haven’t had any lines on opk yesterday or today I’m wondering if anyone’s ovulation day changed or cycle length? I have a 25 day cycle so stretching to 28 wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Hi.

Last month I didn’t detect my LH surge. I can’t say whether it was DHEA or my body recovering from my recent surgery. I definitely ovulated as my period arrived 2 weeks to the hour of ovulation! I would try every other day & that you are covered 😏 xoxo

I usually get ovulation pains might come later today just have to see. We’ve dont it every day except wed last week don’t know what’s up with him usually 3-4 a week.

I do too! So I know the sticks were wrong. Trust your own instincts 😘xoxo

I took it for around two months and started noticing a bit of hair loss. Just over a week ago, I found out that I had alopecia and not sure how much DHEA helped with that.

I guess this infertility thing is taking a toll on me. No eggs no hair and no baby...

Oh its starting to get to me today too. Im in work and feel like crying. No scans have been booked in for me yet as the hospital have lost my notes. I have no prescription for my meds so have no idea what im going to be taking or how much they cost. Unless i have these scans and my meds I wont be going anywhere in 6 weeks! You would think people would want the money off me! I want to pay for it all but no one is willing to assist! Grrrrr having a bad day. Sorry.Xxx
