Hi everyone. I am currently in the 2WW after transferring a PGT normal embryo. Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday (5DP5DT) and felt I must have been out of the game so took a pregnancy test (cheapie) to confirm and wallow in my misery. The spotting happened after 2 long walks and only after checking my own cervix, I never had any on wiping. After a few minutes the test came back with a second line, tested again this morning probably 13hours after previous and still appears positive. I had a trigger as part of a natural FET which I tested out a week ago (shown in pic) and it seems a little darker today and yesterday. Bottom test is 6DP5DT FMU. Experienced POASers….am I imagining this? Should it be darker? Could it be the trigger taken 13 days ago! I’m well aware I need to step away from the urine. Will likely wait another 48hrs as the constant comparison is killing me!

This is why we don’t test early people!! Any opinions gratefully received!!

Hi. Trigger shots can exit the body at different rates. I alway say to keep up with medication and test on the day recommended by your clinic. Spotting can be an irritate cervix or bitt of infection, so make sure you drink plenty of water. Good luck. Diane

I would say your trigger is gone after 13 days, and at 5 days past transfer I wouldn't expect your lines to be much stronger....

In short - quiet congratulations xx

Eek thank you so much for the reply! I am officially a nervous wreck. I am going to take a break from testing for a few days and hopefully see more of a change that way 🤞. IVF is not good for my sanity! 😂 xxx

My trigger had gone 5 days after having it so I would assume by 13 days it absolutely would have x I got my first very light barely even noticeable and wasn’t even sure it was a line on day 7 😂 then on day 9 it was there and started to get stronger. I also found mine were stronger in the evenings than the morning & I tested am & pm daily to monitor (Perhaps a little OTT but as you say IVF isn’t the best for sanity!) x lots of luck 🤞🏼 x

Hi Kate, thanks for the reassuring message and congratulations on your pregnancy! It’s great to know that not everyone has super obvious lines this early and that can be very normal. Thanks again for taking the time to reply, it’s really reassured me xx

I know I said I wouldn’t… but we’re marginally darker this morning. Feeling less worried about trigger but obviously no where near the point of being relaxed yet …

Morning, I would say your trigger shot would be home after 13 days. My test was fairly light at 9dpt on a cheap test so I’d say that looks like a very decent positive.

Congratulations ❤️

I wouldn’t continue to test but if you must leave 48-72 hours between to see true line progression x

Hi all. I just wanted to post an update on this. The tests have continued to darken and I am now 10DP5DT. I *think* I’m happy with cheapie line progression but a bit worried the FRER is starting to lighten? I’ve had more spotting but no bleeding and no other real pregnancy symptoms apart from insomnia! Why is this so stressful?!

And this is the FRER…

I would say that these are progressing well, my lines seemed to vary in strength all the time. My morning while getting darker were always so much lighter than my evening and I used to drive myself insane on line strength alone never mind anything else added to the mix. I also found my cheapies were actually more reliable than FRER & clear blue. FRER actually nearly caused a meltdown 😂 x whispering congratulations as I know it’s scary when someone says that so early on 💞 x

Thanks a lot for your reply and the reassurance. I think with the spotting and lack of real symptoms I am just really stressing myself out. The tests are much darker than my previous chemical pregnancies and I am encouraged by the progression on the cheaper tests but the PTSD from previous experiences is definitely a factor. These were also after a 2hr hold as I’d had to have a middle of the night wee 😂. Thanks again, feel a little bit less like a woman on the edge!

The PTSD is awful, I had a chemical last August before we started ivf in the November and I had no idea what a chemical pregnancy was until it happened. When it came to testing after transfer I was a woman on the edge - obsessed with checking at any given time of day. I am not joking when I say I did at least 3 tests a day until 9 wks… it’s so hard to break the fear cycle when it’s fresh in your mind & you want something so much. I hope all is going well xx

I just wanted to post a quick update incase anyone follows this in future - finally got a dye stealer on FRER 11DP5DT and again at 12DP5DT. Clinic doesn’t do beta HCG so just a nervous wait until scan in 2 weeks time! Thank you all for your words of encouragement
