Having gone through three cycle of IVF I have loads of unused syringes/needles. Throwing them away feels like such a waste so I have made contact with a charity who send medical supplies to Africa who have advised they would be very grateful of any donations providing the expiry dates are +12 months. I thought I'd post their details on here as I'm guessing there are lots in the same position as me. We are likely going to use donor eggs next time, wishing everybody lots of luck with current and future cycles.
For any donations: Inter Care, 46 The Half Croft, Syston, Leicester LE7 1LD

I'm planning to send mine in the little water proof blue bag the sharps boxes came in- but I guess any water proof bag would do just to prevent and moisture coming in to contact with the packaging as this would affect the sterility. They advised that as long as the packaging is in tact and the expiry date has at least 12months they'd be really grateful - it just feels like a nice thing to do.
