*Sensitive* No symptoms and BFP

Hello all, I just wanted to reassure all those women out there who are not getting any symptoms in the 2WW - it means nothing! I’ve had no symptoms at all and have just got a BFP. My OTD is tomorrow so I am hoping it is accurate enough. It all feels very surreal after such a tough journey and I know there’s still a long way ahead. Last couple of times I had lots of symptoms and had two BFN. So I would really recommend not reading too much into the symptoms as they are probably just caused by the hormones and will drive you insane! The 2WW is hard enough! Wishing you all the very best xxxxx

Thank you so much LeeCee15, that’s lovely of you. I know, I had become a nervous wreck and had convinced myself it hadn’t worked as I’d had no symptom! Everything crossed for you and wishing you all the best. Xxxx

Huge congratulations 🎉. Enjoy every second, this is your time well done 👍

Thx for advice think we all know but turn into symptom spotting maniacs 😂. My OTD is one week today so going to listen to your advice and ignore everything until then (well try) 😂

feminist in reply toHope76

Thank you Hope76! Absolutely, I was so anxious all the time looking for symptoms and was absolutely convinced that it hadn’t worked and would be getting my period. If you can do try and see no symptoms as a good sign! In any case, most of the time those symptoms are probably side effects of the drugs we are on! Thinking of you, I hope you can keep positive and calm. Sending positive energy and hope you get a BFP in a weeks time xxxxx

Congratulations! I’ve been following your journey of late and it’s wonderful to see some dna fragmentation success stories. Xx

Thank you Shirazlover! I would definitely recommend Imsi and PGS if you can afford it, it’s been the only thing that has worked for us. Wishing you all the very best xxxxx

We already do IMSI but we’ve not tried PGS/PGT as we don’t seem to get more than 1 blast per round so we just do a fresh transfer and hope. Xx

Hi just to ask what is IMSI and PGS/PGT? xx

feminist profile image
feminist in reply toMikkie

IMSI is an even more detailed selection of the sperm. PGS is the screening of the embryos for chromosomal abnormalities. Xx

All my friends have always said - 'you just KNOW when you're pregnant'. Which is what causes the doubt when you don't feel anything but it's nonsense!!

Massive Congratulations!! I love a happy story! 😊 Xx

feminist profile image
feminist in reply toMaisie234

Thank you Maisie! Absolutely! I really don’t think that’s true. I was convinced it had not worked. I had no signs whatsoever. The thing is we are so pumped up with drugs it’s impossible to tell what is a side effect of the hormones and what is a symptom... also I think that it’s far too early to get proper symptoms. Wishing you all the very best with your journey xxxxxx

Congratulations! I was the exact same... Googling everything but I had nothing to Google as no symptoms! Just driving myself mad for 2 weeks. Currently 31 weeks today. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy 🙂

Just to add, and I know it is easier said than done, but other than heartburn and a problem with my hips (due to a previous break more than anything!) I've had none of the 'normal' symptons. No morning sickness, no implantation cramps or bleeding etc. I guess I'm trying to say, every woman and every pregnancy is different so try not to let a symptom or lack of a sympton give you anxiety. The most important thing is stress-free happy mama now...

Durgri21 i tested positive 5 days ago and I am worried about having no symptoms. My clinic only booked me for scan, they don’t do blood test .

On Friday I called my Gp and requested a BHcg test, which was done Saturday . I doubt if the results are out today.

Durgri21 profile image
Durgri21 in reply toCici85

Will keep my fingers crossed for your test results but try not to give up hope or worry. I genuinely didn't feel a single thing and didn't get a bump till 20 weeks so even after my 7 week and 12 week scans I still didn't believe it... I've been through all the overthinking and worry so I know exactly how you feel but try find something to distract yourself till you get the result. I found jigsaws to be a lifesaver! Will be thinking of you and 🤞

Ps I really do understand how difficult it is and I hope I don't across like I don't... I'm 31 weeks and still refusing to buy anything as I don't believe it will happen for me after so long and the failed attempts. So I really do get the mind nightmare!

Aww @31 weeks , I am sure by that time I will have a shopping mall in my house.

Thank God Beta results came back today 586 @13dp5dt. The Gp said I was positively pregnant.

I cried this morning thinking why I was not having any symptoms. 😁😁😁

hi lovely, just wanted to say thank you for posting and congratulations - it's definitely good to hear different perspectives when getting a BFP. Can I ask, do you normally get period symptoms before? I always get sore boobs, but through all my transfers I've not had that at all and it always worries me.... they've all been BFNs. xx

feminist profile image
feminist in reply toMillbanks

Hi Millbanks, I don’t think I had many symptoms other than the normal bloating from all the hormones. I didn’t have sore boobs at all and I was worried about it. In the end it didn’t mean anything. I think it’s best not to read too much into the symptoms as they are often misleading and just as likely to be a result of the heavy dose of hormones we are on. Wishing you all the very best, I hope you get your BFP very soon xxxxx

Millbanks profile image
Millbanks in reply tofeminist

Thanks lovely - symptom spotting is the worst - you'd think I'd have learned by now! It's really reassuring to hear you didn't have any, so next time I can chill out a little bit more.

Lots of love to you xx
