Could really do with a break..

went for my day 8 scan today, felt quite hopefull after having the polyp removed that’d I’d be good to go. As soon as she put the probe in I noticed the free fluid. Unfortunately things are worse than before as they can now see fluid in my right tube as well.

I’ve got to go back Friday for another scan and to speak with my consultant but it’s looking likely il be having more surgery to either clip or remove the tube.

Feeling really defeated by it all, seems like cycle 5 is just not meant to happen 😢

I'm not surprised your certainly being tested hun. 💝 it's so unfair I'm really sorry 😘💝

Much better hun just tired due to anaemia. Seen consultant yesterday after growth scan and she said if things continue like this iv got a high chance of carrying to term. Obviously she doesn't know that anything can happen anytime, but as long as the extra meds are working and he's growing well which he is then hopefully I will do. My proteins lowered it's just 1+ whereas normally it's 4+ so renal team probably won't do anything till after pregnancy if it's still there. Could be just a pregnancy mistry I think my kidneys are under strain due to my weight. Makes sense to me. But I'm not a Dr and none of them have said that. My anxiety has lowered now , just hope I don't get anymore scares.

😘💝💝

Definitely getting quite fed up with IVF now it’s all the uncertainty that gets to me not that I have to tell you, you know what it’s like to be tested to xx

Yes you just wanna scream..."what now"! So flipping frustrating, I'm annoyed for you! You'll get there, hopefully you'll get a good chat with the consultant on Friday!xx

Oh my love I’m so sorry to hear. How disappointing & frustrating for you. Gutted for you. I know how it feels my endo has really made it difficult with various operations so upsetting isn’t it? The only consolation is at least it’s been found now & wont affect your chances of the cycle. Hope you don’t have long to wait xoxo

Thank you, yeah it’s just frustrating that they couldn’t of checked my tubes during the last procedure. I understand they didn’t want to put me through more unnecessary surgery but clearly now it will be needed. Hope things are going okay for you xx

Am so sorry to hear this. Life is sooo bloody unfair. And the knockbacks just relentless. I’ve had fluid issues too for the last two cycles so I totally get how fed up you feel, and like nothing goes right. Just makes you want to scream. Praying this gets sorted quickly for you lovely, remember how strong you are for even carrying on with it all, big hugs 💕 xxx

Thank you, have they said to you what they think the fluid may be? It definitely it frustrating feel like I’ve been waiting forever to get going with treatment now xx

This time it was just mucus (my consultant ended up just aspirating it as he only did a hysteroscopy on me in April). I think oestrogen caused mine.. but that’s just my theory, they really had no answers which is just the worst part of it - it’s like, erm how can the experts be stumped?! Really hope things work out for you lovely xxx

Thank you, that’s exactly how I feel since I miscarried last year this fluid has just appeared and no one seems to be able to answer why. Hopefully tomorrow il get more answers xx

Hi E_05. The cycle WILL happen. Just pretty bad luck that this has happened. However, the tube needs to be dealt with before proceeding, as the fluid will just interfere with implantation. I shall be thinking of you. Diane

Thank you Diane, can endometriosis cause fluid in the tube? As 3 years ago my tubes were fine and the nurse today wasn’t able to give me many answers as to what could of caused it.

DianeArnold profile image

Hi E_05. Endometriosis can block tubes or seal the ends, or both! Blocked tubes/ends can be caused by infection such as chlamydia or previous surgery causing adhesions, when scarring occurs healing scar tissue together. So any blockage can cause natural lubrication to build up and any excess can only leak back through the womb end and can cause embryos difficulty in implanting. Diane

Oh MAN!!! What a cycle you are having. At least they are pulling out all the stops to ensure that everything is just so. When you get there you will get your bfp. It's so hard when you get knock back after knock back but it is all for the best.

Sending you massive hugs xxx

Thank you, I hope so. I’m glad there on top of everything and I’m not wasting a cycle it’s just all the waiting and uncertainty that is frustrating. Hope you’re doing well xx

So sorry to hear this. It does sound like you need a break. Maybe try to take one thing at a time - sorting out tube first and then you start thinking about next cycle. Be kind to yourself and take plenty of rest. Sending hugs xxx

Time seems to drag somehow, the more you want something the longer it feels that it takes. I’m on DR at the moment not feeling to bad just so bloody HUNGRY!!! All of the time 😩 x x
