Well finally had my last Brusilin and menopaur injection tonight. Got my HCG injection at 10:30 tonight-really nervous about this -any tips would be great?
Had my final scan today and the nurse said that I have some food folicils but some have already matured-hoping they still get plenty eggs. The folicils were all between 12-23!my lining was 10.2! I'm a first timer so really don't know if this is good ?
Also feeling really nervous for egg collection on Friday -i am absolutely terrified about being sedated and the after feeling - so any tips on this would also be great.
Thank you!

From one first timer to another- I've just got my BFP after my first cycle and I'm hoping you get yours too. With the injection just follow the instructions to the letter. Do not push the plunger until the needle is completely in and make sure you can see the little window that should say 250 after you turned it. When you push The plunger down count 10 seconds and ensure the window now reads 0. You must keep the plunger held down as you remove the needle. It doesn't hurt- I promise! For collection just make sure you have some comfortable clothes and a sanitary pad as you might bleed a little bit afterwards. Give yourself a day or 2 to rest after as you might have lower back ache. Drink plenty of water afterwards and wear socks- not sure why but I think it's something to do with circulation. You will be absolutely fine your in and out in 30 minutes and have no idea what happened if you have a GA. They will give you tea and toast afterwards and a pain killer. Good luck xx
Good luck, I had my egg collection today. Like you I had never been sedated so was pretty nervous but honestly don't remember anything once the needle was in my hand till I got brought into recovery. Final injection was much like the others, I found it slightly more painful but only I think because I'm now going onto skin that has already been punctured. Hope this helps xx
You will be fine! It wasn’t half as bad as I thought it would be. It’s just the unknown that makes it all scary!!
You’ll have a nice snooze when they sedate you. Worst part for me was the nurse trying to put the needle into the back of my hand (it took 3 attempts).
Know how you feel, felt like this myself a few days ago. It’s ok to be frightened, but remember that you are doing this for a really good reason. Hope to here good news from you soon x
I had my egg collection on Monday and as others have said it really was fine. I was a bit dopey in the afternoon but get some good podcasts or box sets lined up and make sure your partner looks after you! Good luck!
