Irregular bleeding advice needed

Hi

Im just after some advice please if anyone has any experience - my periods have been pretty regular for some time now, but my issue is that I don’t ovulate. This month gone I had my period, bang on time as always and a day into my fertile window my husband and I did the deed 🙈 unprotected obviously. But then the following day I started spotting and continued to spot with both red fresh blood and brown (sorry TMI I know) for over a week.

I tried to get an appointment with my doctor as this worried me (I’ve had issues with cysts in the past) and as usual there is no appointments 😡 I have my first IVF consultation on Friday and I’m panicking that this will somehow affect us going ahead with arranging our first cycle.

Does anyone have experience of this randomly happening out the blue?

I am sorry I don't know the answer but definitely thinking of you. Just a small question, but have you done a pregnancy test? Probably way too early for implantation bleeding but it depends I guess on whether you may have ovulated earlier than you think? Sending you lots of positive vibes xx

Thank you so much for your reply. I haven’t as I thought the same; that it would be too early since it was only the following morning that it started. I suppose it can’t hurt to test.

It has stopped now but it’s just very unusual!

Hi BennioR. Try not to worry too much about this as once you start your IVF, they can manipulate everything to suit the cycle of treatment. They can give you medication to induce a period, so no worries there. An anxious time for you, but I'm sure they will manage you OK. Thinking of you. Diane
