Has anyone seen the show ‘This is us’? Jack and Rebecca decide to have kids, go into the restroom and bam next episode they are pregnant with triplets!!!! Are you kidding me!! Where are the fertility doctors the scans that FETs the 2WW??? Crap!!! If only Having kids was that easy!!!

I’m glad I didn’t see it. Unfortunately these tv shows only like to focus on the “lighter side” of fertility.
Definitely doesn’t give a true reflection of the journey ; the good, the bad and the ugly!!! 🤪

I haven't seen this one - but has anyone seen the episode of friends with Phoebe having her embryo transfers - so crazy....6 embryos put in and bingo triplets round 1! Found it a bit unrealistic....

I watched that episode the other day, friends boxset helped me through my 2ww but had to smirk at that episode, if only it were that easy
For me it wasn't so much that she fell pregnant first time with triplets (it does happen), it was more the fact that she took a pregnancy test on the same day and got a positive!! No agonising 2ww foe them! 😂
Oh yes like an hour after the transfer! I wish that was real haha you can have it all resolved by tea time same day 🤣 ET & 2WW

I watch the show but it’s never implied that they were on a fertility journey... the triplets were a ‘coincidence’ to tell the story and not a result of fertility treatment.
And it does happen... I have a friend who (with an 8 month old) found out she was pregnant again... with triplets, naturally! 2 identical and the 3rd was fraternal ... believe me the first thing I thought was IVF (this was before I knew anything about IVF) and now I know it was all natural because who would put back 2-3 embryos when you still have an 8 month old and under 30!?! It’s all Crazy ...and unfair.
Otherwise it’s a great show and tells some powerful stories in unexpected ways. It has me crying every other episode.

It’s one of my favourite shows!!!! There are soooo many tears!! Maybe don’t watch it on stims as you will get super emotional and it’s such a tear jerker as it is!!! I love it’ 😊❤️😁😩
Totally agree with Jess, glad I never came across "This is Us" did see the Phoebe getting triplets episodes though. Lol.... that's what happens when the scripts come from high-school pass outs! Probably all they have known is BD and bamm you get pregnant, haven't had a real encounter with the struggles of getting pregnant yet. That reminds me of the benevolent sex education classes... getting pregnant seemed like you open the tap and your glass is filled. Been trying for years in every way possible and still couldn't have a full-term pregnancy... most times even failing to conceive. Reality is far different and appalling than what that school-level information or these stupid Tele scripts can ever feature. Oh the emotional rollercoaster is even worse... that simply topples your whole world upside down when you fail to get pregnant over and over and over again.
I bet it only wrecks the people like us who've had so much to just get a child.
