Hi guys

As you probably can tell I’m addicted to peeing on a stick evidence attached.

I’m definitely not feeling like myself. I feel dizzy all the time, is this normal ?

Iv got a 5 week scan on July the 23rd is it normal practice to have a scan at 5 weeks?

I know how you feel! I got a BFP 4 days ago and of course I'm excited but more scared and anxious. I did a second test which I think helped but I'm still on knicker watch and worrying about what I'm feeling, I'm dizzy and mild cramping/tugging feeling. If you Google then this can be normal but can't help worry about everything. Hopefully won't feel this worried for 9 months! Also grateful I do feel like this and hopefully it's good signs, it's the body changing.

I've got a viability scan at 6 weeks, sounds like all clinics are different, I was expecting maybe it would happen 7/8 weeks.

Good luck with it all and try to relax, ha and I'll try and take my own advice :)

I’m glad someone has same symptoms I just thought it was me

I am trying to eat often but jus feel soo different

I think the early scans are to see how the embryo is developing

Good luck x

I was told the post IVF you usually get a scan 5/6 weeks from the fertility centre so I think it’s standard fertility centre practice :)

Thank you for the information I think your right

Congratulations. I think each clinic is different- we were not allowed a scan until at least two weeks after test day. I chose to have it just over two (but under three) as sometimes at 6 weeks you get to see the heartbeat. It’s a tough old wait!! Wishing you lots of luck xxx

I think everyone feels different after their BFPs. After my first one I felt normal for ages, but after this one I’ve felt awful most of the way through.

5 weeks seems very early to have a scan to me. 6 seems to be the earliest I’ve heard of and most clinics make you wait until 7 weeks. The reason being is that you start being able to see the heartbeat from around 6 weeks so clinics like to wait until they are sure there will be a heartbeat to prevent worry when there isn’t one. I can’t see a reason you shouldn’t have a 5 week scan but please don’t go expecting to see a heartbeat as it is very unlikely there will be one at that stage.
