Needing a little pick me up. Please can you share your positive stories to help keep me going.

I’m 28 years old and have PCOS and elevated natural killer cells. My husband has antisperm antibodies meaning we need ICSI. My first round of ivf was cancelled due to low response due to too low dose. The second round we got 11 eggs and transferred 2 but had no frozen, did not get pregnant and it was at this point I had the natural killer cells test. The most recent round I had 14 eggs collected, with 2 eggs transfered that were grade 4aa and 4ab. I have 3 grade 4 eggs frozen. Despite having a scratch and Intralipids I still didn’t get pregnant. However between egg collection and egg transfer I was very poorly with ohss which I think may of had an impact.

I have given up my career as a professional to focus on this because nothing means more. I’m hoping some positive stories from yourselves will give me hope. I love seeing scan pictures and baby pictures where others have made it through. Obviously I now have to take a break to start again and the fear and hopelessness is kicking in 💔

Hi sorry it’s not happen for you yet, don’t give up your dream will come true. Some dreams just take a little longer like mine did,

I had been ttc for over 10 years one failed private ivf (was wrong postcode and age at the time for nhs), found middle of cycle I had hydrosalpinx I decided to carry on with the cycle which was unsuccessful so after that had laparoscopy and the hydrosalpinx had damaged my tube so it was removed was told to carry on trying natural and I did but months went by then years then I gave up for 6 years, i was really depressed, relationship with my hubby was taking a strain so I went to the doctors who suggested try ivf on the nhs it took over a year to get accepted had to have several test which showed that hydrosalpinx come back in my remaining tube so I had to have another laparoscopy and they clipped my remaining tube (3 laparoscopy in total) had that done in dec 2016 say if took a year to get there, then on our check off list to get referred March 2016 they found that I wasn’t immune to rubella injection I had so I had to have another one wait a month for a blood test thankfully my body took to the injection and I was immune so they referred me to my clinic who accepted us, we had a meeting in April to discuss my cycle had to take the pill on my next period, and started to take metformin 3 times a day, I had my last drink for my birthday 12/03 and started taking seven seas pregnancy tablets and my hubby started taking imh men’s ones, we had our nurse appointment on 3rd July to teach injections, started injections 18/07 then had eggs collected on 28/07 for 18, only 9 survived, only 6 fertilised 1 didn’t make it we got 4 Frosties (we had ICSI ) one embryo transferred on the 2/08 and that one little embryo actually made it, i was so shocked when I see that 2nd line and my whole pregnancy I never believed it despite all the scans and my growing bump, my son was so excited to meet me he decided to come 7 weeks early weighing 4lb 10oz on the 6th March,

His now a very fit and healthy 4 month old. Still can’t believe his here really can’t, feel free to look at my profile as there’s picture on there of him and few stories about my journey,

I really didn’t think I’d ever become a mum and it happened so follow your dream it will happen to us all unfortunately some longer than others and some of us have so horrendous problems getting there dream,

Wish you all the luck in the world for your next cycle and just keep believing xx 🍀 🍀

Your welcome, yes was a hard time but I’m glad I decided to give it one more go and didn’t give up, I’ll follow you as if love to know how you get on, when are you hoping to start your next cycle,

What’s these killer cells do? And can they give you anything to prevent them?

Say my hydrosalpinx was toxic fluid that killed embryos that’s why my first didn’t work and they clipped my last tube so that the toxic fluid stayed away from embryo

Xx

The natural killer cells affect implantation. It’s to do with the immune system not accepting the embryos but there is treatments for it which I did have, but I’m not sure if it failed because I was very unwell after egg collection and transfer. Could barely walk even in my own house because of ovarian hyperstimulation.

I’m not sure when we can start again, I like to keep going as soon as is okay to do so. I imagine it’s likely to be September time.

If these frozen ones fail I will keep going and have more fresh cycles xxxx

Hey, I hope things get better for you. Just be confident and stay positive. I know it is a difficult journey. The only success story I can share is my miracle baby. I have low amh levels and poor ovarian reserve. When I got married I didn't know about any of such things. So we tried to conceive and after two-three months I discovered I was pregnant. We had our daughter and we thought that this is the pattern we will be following. After my daughter was one year old we decided we wanted to grow our family. Unfortunately, that never happened. We tried for a year and nothing was happening for us. I then decided to visit a fertility specialist. Through the tests, we found out about my infertility. The doctor was so surprised that I even got pregnant for the first time. I guess it is all about being positive.

Hi angel, thank you for sharing your story. Sometimes these things are just meant to happen and your miracle baby is obviously an example of that. Sending you and your family lots of love xx
