Egg Collection on Friday!

After Monday's wobble it seems things have got back on track. I had my second scan today to check on my follicles. Frustratingly they wouldn't tell me exactly how many there where even when I asked but from listening to them talk I remember a few! Sounds like my left ovary had 1x22mm, 1x20mm and then some smaller ones around 14/12 and under 10. I can't remember the sizes of the ones on the right but they double checked they'd written 6 down and I think the range was between 20 - 12mm. Can't believe i can't remember exactly what they said!!! Again there were also some below 10 on that ovary as well.

It's given me a bit more hope that we'll have a good batch of eggs to work with! Just waiting on the call now with the time for my trigger injection later today.

I can't help but feel really excited about Friday, trying not to set myself up for disappointment but I can't help but think we're already closer than we've ever been before and that alone makes me giddy! Hopefully my excess positivity will help!

Oh no how come? It's such a rollercoaster, since Monday I've been so down about things, I think that's what's triggered my excess giddiness today as I was totally prepared to be told egg collection would be getting pushed back. The clinic have just rang with my time slot for Friday and the fear has started to kick in now but trying to hold onto the excitement. Fingers crossed for both of us on Friday and the weeks that follow, I'll be thinking of you!

I’m not sure if I’ll have a good number of eggs with these follicle stats 2 @20mm

1 @ 18mm

2 @ 16mm

3 @ 15mm

3 @ 13mm

10 @ 12mm

I have one more stimming injection at 8:45 tonight night and then pull the trigger at 1am tonight. In your experience will that be enough time for the 16mm ones to grow? How many eggs do you think I will get from those size follicles? X

It's my first cycle so I have no experience to speak of I'm afraid. It's good that you get such detail though! It sounds like you have a lot more follicles than I do so I wouldn't lose hope.

Thanks. I feel like I have some control if I ask for numbers! I find it so difficult that the doctors can’t tell you what those numbers mean. X
