NHS Fertility Counselling question: We have this next week and we're just wondering what should we expect? The letter doesn't say anything about how long the appointment is or if we should prepare anything or such. Any advice would be really helpful in reducing my anxiety and helping me feel more calm. Thank you x

NHS Fertility Counselling
Hi Gardengirl!
We had our counselling session last week! It was private not NHS so I don't know if there's much difference but the lady we spoke to was lovely She just spoke to us about our relationship and our how we'd feel if it wasn't successful and stuff, it was probably about 45 minutes. Nothing at all to worry about, it was just more of a chat really! Good luck, hope it goes well for you xxx
Hi, I went to NHS fertility counselling before my IVF fresh round 1. It was very chilled and she just basically chatted through how I was feeling.
The waiting was driving me crazy.
It was great to have a space to say anything I wanted without being judged.
I wouldn't say you need to prepare anything - just say how you are feeling and hopefully they will give a good perspective to help you through everything.

Okay. I like to be prepared as it keeps my anxiety at bay so it's good to know it's just relaxed xx
Yes don't worry - you can just say how you are feeling.
Best of Luck

Good luck to you too. I just want to get back to being the more carefree me as it's taking up all of my brain space in a not good way. Hope it proves to be a positive experience for you too xx
