Brown Spotting

Hi all,

Due to test on Friday but started having brown spotting today. My period is due tomorrow, which makes me think we haven’t been successful this time. Has anyone had spotting and still had a positive test?

I personally haven't got this far yet but I have read lots of positive stories on here of BFPs after spotting, especially if the blood is brown as this could be from implantation bleeding or if you had an endometrial scratch. I'm sure some of the lovely matriarchs (wise warriors) on this group can ease your worries x

Agreed. Unless it is red and you fill more than a pad in an hour they generally don't stress. We all do of course - it's the worst thing in the world.

It seems to be pretty normal for people to have some kind of discharge.

If you are very worried I would check with the clinic and they may advise you to have rest and up your progesterone.

Thank you, it’ll be 2 weeks Wednesday that I had IUI but they have told me to test Friday. It’s driving me mad! X

Ok. Do give them a call and ask their advice. They know all your history and they might suggest increasing your progesterone... if the spotting continues. Hope it stops and that you get your bfp xx

Eventually got hold of the clinic and they increased pessaries, no good though! Had to test this morning, even though I knew it wasn’t going to be good news, seeing the negative was absolutely crippling! I want to crawl into my shell and shut the world out, instead I have to put a smile on and pretend everything is fine.

Thank you both, unfortunately not. Meetings in work and got a busy weekend ahead of me. It’s my birthday Wednesday, got things booked in every day over the weekend, I just want to sleep. It’s draining isn’t it. X
