5wks + 1.. sex??

Hi ladies, I’m 5wks + 1 day and since finding out our BFP on Sunday, we have had sex a couple of times. Is it ok to be having sex before our first scan on the 25th June /12 week mark? It sound silly but I don’t want to risk anything so if we’re not allowed I will nip it in the bud 🙈 xx

I didn’t have sex for the whole of my pregnancy as I was too worried something would happen, didn’t miss it as I was too concerned growing my little human lol, but everyone is different and you can think they say only to avoid it in the 2WW,

Ok thank you ladies, I think for peace of mind I will tell my OH to satisfy himself for now lol. I would feel much better knowing I’m being on the safe side 🤞🏼

Lol that’s what I told my hubby say loads of people have sex early pregnancy as they don’t know there pregnant 🤰 and then continue through out so there’s no real harm, but i was just too scared of the what ifs and I wouldn’t of been able to cope if something had happen all for a bit of sex lol because it took so long to get where I am and if something went wrong my only option was ivf again , but everyone is different, you could always maybe wait till your 12 week scan then carry on, the midwife will say it’s all ok to carry on with sex when you get to see yours

I was told to avoid it until OTD. We DTD once just before our 8 week scan and have "done it" a couple of times since. Generally it's considered safe unless you've been advised otherwise, but ultimately you have to feel comfortable. Xx

I think it’s considered safe but most women prefer to wait until the 12 week scan. I think that Diane said that gentle sex should be ok xx

I think for now I will tell him to sort himself out and we’ll wait.. I’m sure as the months pass (fingers crossed) that he will be too scared incase he ‘pokes the baby’ 😂 x

You posted! You definitely posted about your BFP and sex too! 😜

There’s a lot of sites that say this is the best time as it’ll get harder. It’s all about what is comfortable with you too... no point making yourself worried xx
