hello all, I just got Bfp yesterday but after 2WW and been told that i was 4 week 4 days pregnant very happy about it but soon I found out the nurse didn't realise that I had underactive thyroid history, even though before the cycle the routine blood test indicated that my thyroid was 2.9. I had embryo transfer in two weeks ago and yesterday bfp, the clinic told me I am now 4 week 4 days pregnant. I am so anxious now because my thyroid wasn't treated before ET and now 4 week pregnant, has the baby got affected or hurt already, can someone help please😥😥😥 thank you

got Bfp but with untreated thyroid
Your thyroid is in normal range so that is good. Just go to the doctor and ask for your levels to be checked, they may start you on levothyroxine. Did they check your blood when you were there? Congratulations!! Xx
Can’t advise on your thyroid situation but congratulations on your pregnancy xx
First of all mega congratulations!!! Secondly plz don’t worry!! Mine wasn’t tested and it was way over what is should be but I still got my bfp and Levothyroxine works immediately. Mine was over 4. Something but all is ok so please don’t stress unnecessarily especially as it’s well within normal range xxx
thank you so much, 😘, can I ask was your over 4 after pg or before pg ? many thanks. my worries is the embryo in my body for weeks with my thyroid high, might get hurt already.
I don’t know because they didn’t test it til after bfp but thyroid levels generally rise a bit in early pregnancy xxx
Hi congratulations on your BFP. Just to try and reassure you,my thyroid is within normal range but is higher than they they like in pregnancy. I went back for another blood test after my BFP to check if it was still high and then only started medication last Saturday when I would have been 5weeks 5days. The clinic didn’t seem worried I wasn’t on the medication straight away xxx
Congratulations! The TSH level for under 2.5 is for optimal levels for conception but you have conceived anyway!! You just need another blood test to see where your levels are now so they can decide if you need treatment or not. Your TSH is not very high so unlikely to do any damage to baby at this stage!! Enjoy being pregnant xxx
Thank you so much indeed for your reassurance, I have been metal all day but feel so much better no, Yes I am going to enjoy being pregnant 🤰🏻 after 10 years very hard journey to get this amazing BFP. all the best to you😘
Hi babylily. Well done on getting a positive pregnancy test. Try not to worry about your little one, as it is you with th3 problem, not your baby. Obviously, speak to your GP who will check out your thyroid and treat it if necessary. Hope all continues to go well with your pregnancy. Thinking of you. Diane
