Anybody taken the decision to have braces on then gone for ivf treatment does anyone know if there is any issues with having the braces whilst undergoing treatment and if were successful if braces caused any problems whilst pregnant thanks

Hi I had braces when TTC I was very lucky and fell pregnant naturally just before starting IVF journey so can comment on that side but in terms of pregnancy there has been no issues with braces and orthodontist was not concerned at all.

Hi Natalie1307. It’s amalgam fillings that’s a problem not braces. Existing fillings are ok apparently. Have a chat with your dentist/orthodontist. Good luck. Diane
