Hi all,
Me (26yo) and my husband (30yo) have started the process for IVF this year.
A bit about us - my husband has known for the last five years that he has a mutation of the CF gene (not fully confirmed) which means he has what’s called absence of the seminal vesicles, azoospermia and one kidney!
He’s very healthy and fit and this doesn’t affect him in any way other than one and that is infertility. Since we have known for a long time, we’ve been prepared to go through IVF for the last few years and now that it is finally here, it does feel a bit weird!
Also, I know I’m probably on the younger side of the scale of the women here and as far as I know I have normal fertility. So there you go, I just wanted to share my story since I have been on this forum a lot reading threads and I thought it’d be nice to contribute in case someone is in a similar position.
Being young and going through this does feel like there is slightly less time pressure which is quite nice. As for timelines if anyone is interested, I’ll post on my bio so have a look
