Just curious to see what people where advised over taking bath after transfer.?
With all the cramps I've been experiencing I know a bath will ease them just I've heard that some people are advised to steer clear of them? What reasons are there for this and for how long are we not to have baths?

I was told no hot baths after transfer and Diane the nurse on here recommends not having them if you’re pregnant until third trimester. It’s about not raising your core temperature too much.
You are at more risk of infection after transfer and also hot baths in general in pregnancy are not advised unless 37 degrees as can cause your core temp to go up. The risk of damage is higher in early pregnancy. I am now in very late stages of pregnancy and quite happily go in the hot tub as it’s set to 38 degrees max and if I feel too hot I get out. In early stages I just had showers. You can still have a reasonably hot shower as you are not completely submerged and only in there for about 10-15 minutes whereas a bath you tend to stay in for a lot longer. You could use a heated oat bag to relieve back pain xx
I’m currently in my 2ww and had a warm bath 48 hours after transfer. I was advised by my clinic to avoid strenuous exercise but to otherwise carry on as normal. No mention of avoiding baths. So after spotting something on here the other day about not bathing during the 2ww, I went into a panic and spent too long googling! I did find this which I thought was quite interesting
