Iv been reading the posts but not really posted after my first cycle. I had 15 eggs collected and 0 FERTILISED, you could say it was a shock.
But I feel better now - next round will be ICSI I’m going for my bloods and nurse consultation tomorrow and will start my cycle which I assume will still be short protocol with my next cycle.
I want to be positive but feel so unsure just need a little push.
Is ICSI harmful to the eggs? Is it better? Shall I stop thinking and stressing ?
I really hope it goes better than last time

Hey strong-girl! I just finished my first IVF cycle a few weeks ago....15 eggs...14 mature...11 fertilised and we did ICSI sadly only 3 made it to blast and only 1 decent quality which we transferred BFN and none to freeze was absolutely gutted all those fertilized embryos and o only 1 good one. Doc said could be sperm could be eggs most likely sperm as my partner has a low count so I have just started him on a men's multi, we are going to start our 2nd round in about 2months time. I wish you the best of luck and lots of baby dust! Xx Your next round has to be better than the first! 😊 fingers crossed for you! Xxx
ICSI is perfectly safe and doesnt harm the eggs so dont worry about that. Some clinics even prefer to use it over IVF for reasons of what happened to you! Hopefully the nurse can also reassure you when you see her tomorrow too. Hope the appt goes well!xx
Hi strong-girl. Well, they seem to have thought out your next cycle well, so fingers crossed all goes to plan, and you end up with success. Try not to worry about the ICSI process, as it is very carefully done, and shouldn't do any harm. Good luck! Diane
