So I’m going for EC TOMORROW

I’ve been very nervous and my head is all over the place I no I have 38 follicles witch are a nice size but feeling like I’m not going to have many eggs even tho I have 38 follicles just so worried anyone else feeling like I am. 😦 xx

Good luck for tomorrow, you will be fine. I had my second egg collection today. Minus zero dignity 😂 (but I think we are used to that in the IVF game) it isn’t bad at all xxx

Best of luck - you will be fine!!! 38 follicles is lots. The odds are with you. I hope you get lots of eggs and then embies!! Don’t worry. Worrying won’t get you far. Be positive and trust the powers that be.

Good luck Julie! I had EC in April and had 30 eggs collected (I had almost 50 follicles of a decent size but my left ovary was at a funny angle so they couldn’t get to it!)

They’d told me that 12 eggs is an excellent number to aim for and that sometimes when you have more eggs, there’s a chance some of them won’t be mature.

I was initially deflated the next day when they said only 14 out of the 30 were mature enough for ICSI but still pleased it was around that magic 12 number...

8 of the 14 fertilised and 6 of those are now lovely frozen blastocysts (we did a freeze all cycle).
