Hi Kailz,
I'm 38 and on my 4th ICSI cycle. heading for ET this morning hopefully!!! x
Hi Kailz, I'm 31 - after out first IVF try I am currently 8 weeks 3 days pregnant! (I know that we are extremely lucky). When are you due to start? Or have you already? Xxx
Congratulations! Xxx
Congratulations 💕, a have the hospital on the 16th of may to start my journey ❤️ how did you feel? Xx
Oh brilliant! Not long to go now 😊 ! To be honest I found the thought of it all scarier than the reality. The nurses/doctors do this day in day out and are all so supportive. I would meditate every day with an app called 'mindful ivf' which I found so helpful. Just try and stay relaxed (easier said than done!) There is a lot of waiting and those waits are harder than any injection! Try and listen to a song that makes you feel happy as well for tour first few injections. It definitely helps 😊
Wishing you all the best with your journey 💕🤗 xxx
Hi! I am 40 and started treatment when I was 34. I had my 1st daughter when I was 37 and my 2nd is now 8 months old so I was 39 when I had her. They were both fets and from the same ec. Wishing everyone lots of luck xxx
Hi Kaliz I’m 36 but 37 in a month. Was our 4th cycle all icsi, 2nd fresh cycle and currently 25wks pregnant!! Good luck with your treatment. It’s a tough journey but there is hope it does work out!!
Hiya I’m 31 and I’m 27 weeks pregnant with a baby boy after my first round of short protocol IVF x
Hi Kailz. I'm 36. I started ivf when i was 33. 1st fresh isci cycle, BFN & no frozen. 2nd fresh icsi cycle with sperm retrieval, BFP (ended in mmc at 12 wks) & 2x frozen. Currently on 3rd cycle FET & 9 weeks pregnant with twins. Good luck with your journey. Xx
Hiya, I’m 38 1st Ivf cycle was last year, good amount collected and fertilised but they all arrested on day of transfer.
2nd fresh cycle with ICSI now in my 2 ww.
Good luck with your journey xxx
Just turned 39. Have been TTC since early thirties with unexplained infertility. Three failed FETs (2 freeze all ICSI cycles). I have two embryos left and will do another transfer hopefully next month, then I’m throwing in the towel. It’s way too traumatic and if I didn’t have two left in the freezer, I wouldn’t be trying again. Nice to see so many people with success stories, though! If only I could be one of them!
I'm 36, with severe endometriosis. First cycle of IVF ended with a BFN and no frosties.
Starting my second cycle next month on a higher dose of meds. Feeling positive! Xx
Morning... 37yr, tried for six years naturally (didn't work) We did icsi due to husbands sperm quality, just had my first fresh transfer and I will be six weeks pregnant tomorrow (fingers crossed it stays that way) 4 embryos in the freezer 😀 xx
Hi Kaliz
I’m neatly 35 unexplained fertility. Will be starting IVF soon. Good luck xx
Good luck to you to 💕 thanks xxx
I’m 40 currently 31 weeks pregnant from 4th ICSI cycle x
27 when started treatment 28 now 3 previous ectopic pregnancies first round of short proctol ivf 5AA hatching blastocyst and my beautiful baby girl is now 13 weeks old xx
Lovely news❤️, how did you feel during it all ?xx
Thank you 💗tbh I didn’t find it bad at all I honestly didn’t know what to expect nor did I have any expectations I didn’t do any research or join any forums (joined this when I found out Cause I was convinced at was another ectopic) I didn’t realize how much could do wrong through the whole process and I’m glad for that. it all happened very quickly It’s strange I can’t explain it but I just did what they told me to and I know how lucky we are and lucky it was only my tubes which are the issue wish you all the luck in the world with your cycle xx
I’m an oldie! 42🤦♀️ Been ttc for 6 years. Been a bumpy ride☹️ I’m currently in the middle of my 2nd icsi treatment-hoping this one works as I’m rapidly running out of time!! (And money! 😊)
Morning, I am 43. Been ttc for nearly 6 years. Have done 2 fresh ICSI and one frozen. All BFN. Would not stop bleeding after latest attempt, so went back to clinic. Turns out I have fallen naturally after the failed cycle with help of all meds still in my system. Am 8 weeks today. Find it hard to believe this is for real!
Morning im 28 years old, iv been refused treatment because my partner has a child from previous relationship. Iv never been pregnant once and I think I'm going through early menopause I have low egg reserve, good luck and congratulations to everyone xx
Can I ask you dose the child stay with yous full time? .. my partner also have two kids from previous relationship, the rules for the NHS were changed as long as you yourself didn't have any children and there was no children staying with you then funding was aloud xxxx
Hiya my partner sees his son once a week and I don't get to see him at all (as my partners ex doesn't allow me to and would stop contact if I was there). My gynaecologist said that I'm not allowed any treatment at all. I myself don think have children iv never been pregnant once, iv currently got my local MP trying to fight my case weather it will get me anyway that's another story. xx
It's so cruel!!! Also why are the exes so bitter and jealous!! My husband has a son with his ex, although I'm doubting it's his as that happened rather quickly and they were both smoking and going out drinking, not healthy at all. Plus she's had affairs eventually, so not to be trusted. Whereas we were healthy'ish tried for six years and told it wouldn't happen due to husbands poor sperm quality, I had no issues apparently. We were told him having a son was fine because he doesn't live with us. Started taking the meds and some idiot nurse phoned us to say we might not get funding afterall and she has to find out from the board!! That was the most stressful week, and unnecessary! I think it's so wrong that they won't fund you! I see my step son but I'm not his mum, never will be, his mum makes sure that I know that. I really hope that you get the funding you deserve xxx
I'm so sorry you have to go through that. I understand where you are coming from even though they are your step childen and you love them unconditionally it's not the same as being a mom to your own child! I'd love nothing more than to become a mom I find it so unfair how we can be treated it's like infertility isn't seen as a problem, but people don't understand how it affects us. Even though I'm trying to fight for some treatment I'm scared that I'm currently going through early menopause (I have low egg reserve). I hope you get somewhere and sending baby dust your way xx
My other halfs ex is the same way with me you would think I was a monster kids are not even aloud to talk about me in her house! Am sending you lovely ladies all the luck in the world 💕💕xxxx
Luckily for us the nurse was wrong and we were able to have our one go! It's still so wrong though and really angers me that they won't give you funding. Every woman that has not had a child should at least have one go on the NHS. I think it's really harmful not to allow it, I instantly resented his child ever being born, which I know is totally unfair. I really do feel for you hun xxx
I totally understand where your coming from it's annoys me because when I was first told that I would need ivf to help get pregnant my gynaecologist told me I would have 3 full rounds on the NHS and if i was unsuccessful then I'd need a hysterectomy, 3 years on I'm still fighting for one cycle and they refuse to give me one. I must admit I do hate the fact that my partner has a child and I can't have the choice to even try for one of our own. Even the thought or seeing a pregnant woman gets me down, I mean when my mom got me to do a pregnancy test on my 12 year old sister (she ha a positive test, and I'd just been told that I couldn't conceive naturally) it broke my heart. Now my partners brothers girlfriend is about to give birth to her first baby and I don't know how to explain to them that I'm not being nasty but being around there new born is going to make me feel so down and depressed and I don't know how to explain this to them. Good luck with your journey I wish you all the best xx
Hi Kailz me too I love hearing other people's stores! I'm 39, with very low AMH for my age. We were told we could have 1 round of IVF on the NHS due to my low follicle count. We got very lucky and though we only got 2 eggs retrieved both fertilised and I'm currently 9.5 weeks pregnant. Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories I found it a real source of support on here along the way xxx
Hi jo stories like this give me hope! I have low amh and one failed ivf. I am told my chances with ivf are low due to low numbers in egg retrieval but no reason why it wont happen naturally . Were you in same boat? X
Hi ClaraB so sorry I just saw your reply! Yes please dont give up hope. We were totally in the same boat, they said exactly the same thing - low chances of ivf success but no reason why it wouldn't happen naturally. The clinic said they'd give us one round of IVF "for psychological reasons" how encouraging! My AMH was less than 0.4 and not considered ideal for IVF and true to their predictions on our one shot my ovaries struggled to make many eggs. I was on max dose drugs for the max length of time possible. And that got us our 2 eggs. But as people on here keep saying it only takes 1!!
I think the outlook for us ladies with low AMH is not as gloomy as they say and the more I read up on it it gave me some hope. A lot of clinics in the USA have some good recommendations on their websites and generally seem far more positive in outlook for low AMH. As far as I understand it there is no accurate way to measure the quality of the eggs that you have only the number, it's an educated guess.
Hang in there! Every day we count ourselves so lucky and thankful and I keep everything crossed for you and others going through this emotional rollercoaster!! Xxx
Im now 40 with a 12 year old son from prev relationship. Ttc with current partner since i was 36 when we first met. He has azoospermia (zero sperm count) genetic. No connective tissues in testicles and only a small amount of sperm extracted from his micro tese operation. Weve had 2 rounds of ICSI paid for privately both rounds failed. 1st round was a disaster! Double embryo transfer 2nd round but BFN. Now arranging to go to Cyprus for tandem cycle with his last 2 lots of sperm. If this fails thats it for us. Xx
Got everything crossed for yous xxx
Hey! I'm 35. Trying for 3 years, 3 failed IUIs last year. Did ivf/icsi (li g protocol) in March and fell pregnant first time. 5 weeks 4days today so still a long way to go but I'm hopeful 😁 xx
Lovely news xxx
I'm 41. Had one ectopic and nothing since. Had tests and Clomid but still nothing. Only options are hoping for a natural miracle or find the money for IVF.
Hi Kaliz and welcome 😊
I’m 36; endometriosis was found and treated June 2017 after 5 years and 10 months of TTC ( that’s the short version!!!) and four failed rounds of clomid treatment prior to the endometriosis diagnosis ( originally I was thought to have PCO as I have cycle abnormalities now know that is caused by endometriosis) I did luckily conceive naturally first month after my first laparoscopy but sadly lost the baby at 4.5 weeks 💔 unfortunately we struggled to conceive afterwards and my endometriosis symptoms returned with a vengeance ( I knew it was back so stopped trying) I had my second laparoscopy in March which the endometriosis was treated but left on my rectum 🤢 so my fertility specialist referred me to an endo specialist he knew ; I saw the endo specialist last month and was referred for another laparoscopy; it is a 5/7 month waiting list 🙈 so I decided to TTC between now and then as I can’t put my trying on hold that long and they said if necessary I could have the surgery after having a baby 😊hopefully as it’s just on my bowels it won’t affect my fertility🤞🏻 they removed all endo implants from back of my uterus which hindered fertility 🤞🏻( it is the only issue causing the infertility) I’m currently on my first 2ww from my second laparoscopy. xoxo
I’m 45 and currently 7 weeks 6 days pregnant following transfer of 2 embryos in the US (one implanted) previously had 6 pregnancy losses. 2 natural pregnancies at 42 (both missed miscarriages at 8 weeks and 7 weeks) one mmc at 14 weeks then 3 further early losses. Spent a fortune and had 2 cycles in the UK - successful but loss at 14 weeks, 3 total waste of money cycles in Barcelona and one successful transfer in the States. Wishing you the best of luck with your journey xxx
Wishing you all the luck aswell xxx
Did you find the treatment in the States was different to here or Barcelona. Congrats on your pregnancy.x
Hey, I’m 27 started treatment when I was 23 - 7 months of clomid all unsuccessful. 2 fresh IVF cycles both ending in MMC and 2 FETs both unsuccessful. Was due to have a natural FET this month but cycle was abandoned so going to try again this month. Good luck for when you start xx
Hi. I’m 36. Had a miscarriage last year from a fresh egg transfer sadly but fell pregnant from next transfer which was frozen. I’m now 30 weeks pregnant. Keep the faith x
Hi Kailz, I'm 32, TTC for 6 years
So far have unexplained infertility but am going to beg for a laproscopy to see if I have endometriosis, in my next meeting with the specialist, before venturing on to IVF
I'm the only one from my friends and family to have fertility issues so this forum has been a godsend, to know other ladies know EXACTLY who you feel
Hi, I’m 25 and me and hubby have been ttc for 3 years. I have a unicornuate uterus and only one Fallopian tube but both ovaries. Fell pregnant naturally last November but Mc at 8 weeks. Hi
I’m 35, after 10 years +

Tried naturally again no success
So had another operation which found hydrosalpinx in my remaining tube,,
Had that clipped in dec 2016
March 2017 (after my birthday) started taking seven seas per pregnancy , gave up caffine, chocolate and alcohol
Started My 2nd ivf cycle in July 2017 & it was successful and I now I have a little boy 8 weeks old (2 weeks corrected)
Wish you all lots of luck on your journeys
Never give up your dream, just believe in it and it will happen xxx 🍀🍀🍀 xxx
I’m 30, have done three failed rounds of IUI and now going into first round of short protocall ICSI. It’s male factor and I also have polycystic ovaries. They are going to freeze all my eggs and put one back in three months later...I haven’t heard anyone else who has had to do this though! Such a long process...
Hi I'm 35, 26 weeks pregnant after 4th Icsi cycle. It was FET.
I'm 29yrs old been ttc for 11 years. 2 rounds of icsi. 1st failed 2nd worked but we lost our baby at 5+3 weeks. Paid private and had 2 rounds of iui and I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant with my little rainbow baby xx
Hello! I’m now 45 with my 9 month old gorgeous daughter - we did 3 collection cycles when I was 43 and one ICSI transfer and we’re lucky enough to have got pregnant - so she was born last July when I was 44. And we hope to go again with our 4 Frosties
Hi I was 24 when we started trying. Had our first IVF at 27 and got a BFP but miscarried then had an FET after a few months and now have an 11 week old girl xx
I’m 34 now. Had just turned 32 when we started trying. Just got my first BFP ever after 2 fresh cycles and a FET which if it sticks, I’ll be 35 when I give birth
Hi Kailz,
I hope you are well?
I’m 38, 39 in August. This will be my first IVF cycle. I’ve just started long day 21 protocol and my period has gone awol.
I started taking Supercur on 1st May and still no period. Not sure what to do. Feels like things are going wrong at the first hurdle 😤 trying not to stress.
Wishing everyone here the best of luck x
C
All the best for Wednesday.
I called this evening, one of the nurses said to call them again on Monday if my period doesn’t arrive. they’ll book me in for a scan.
It’s really heartwarming to hear everyone’s stories. I’m 33, only been ttc for just over a year but I’ve just been diagnosed with POF and told I need to use donor eggs. Devastated is an understatement. There were no warning signs until we actually started trying and my periods became irregular. Getting my head around using donor eggs and thankful that women donate! Currently exploring clinics in Greece, Cyprus and Spain. If anyone has any recommendations (or clinics to avoid) I’d love to hear them!
Hello maybe a little late to carry on with this thread but thought i would share! Im 29 ttc for the last 2 years found out my oh has severe male factor! Start my ivf journey in june. Goodluck to everyone xxx
Congratulations 💕 lovely news xxxx
